It was a solid 6/10. A big spectacle of a movie, but not quite big enough to be really memorable popcorn movie (like Pacific Rim).
EDIT: Didn't notice the second question. No, Ultron was a mook. I thought he'd be really powerful, based on hype on this very site, but he was really weak.
@deaditegonzo: He's more formidable than Loki was in the first movie
@hunterxon: That's not really saying much, especially since they fought more Chitauri than Loki,he was a one and done thing in Avengers.

Agreed
Winter Soldier was way better than AOU, but it was a decent film. Was it faithful to the comics? No. The whole Natasha and Banner relationship was awkward and badly written and Ultron just didn't seem like the Ultron one would know from the books. I do wonder if some of the scenes they cut out would have helped make it better if they were still there, like the Loki scene. When Thor's mentions Loki's scepter yet Loki wasn't even in the film for ex lol
@gambit474: yae they missed alot good marks for the film but it was still somewhat enjoyable.
I enjoyed the movie as just a standalone movie, Marvel MCU movie and comic book movie it was a blockbuster. It played well off of the comics and Ultron was pretty entertaining the movie was very engaging also it's thought provoking.
Having just got back from watching it twice, I am certain this was better than the first. Ultron was underpowered but that was the only disappointment, the action was tighter and more exciting and the character moments were spread out better, nobody got left out this time and were clearly more comfortable in their roles. Second time around has reaffirmed my approval.
I give it 4 smiley faces. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
It's not the best CBM, it's not even the best MCU movie. And I didn't like Ultron..but, I don't regret seeing it, and it was fun. So, yes, I enjoyed it.
I think they mishandled a number of roles, and I didn't think it was as good as the first movie. I didn't like Black Widow's role overall in this, but she did have a few good scenes, and I think Pietro wasn't as used as well as he could have been. Strange that one of Hawkeye's big moments was basically proving his wife's fears completely right - he watched the team leave Black Widow to her own devices, and none of the other team members watched his back. Not sure why this was glossed over, but it felt like a very bad direction to leave his character in by the end of the movie. Scarlet Witch did get a few good scenes, though.
Did you enjoy Avengers Age of Ultron?
Not as much as Guardians or Winter Soldier, but yes.
Was it faithful to the comics?
Not exactly.
Did you like how Ultron was portayed?
It fit the movie.
I loved it. Fantastic movie.

idunno a full powered blast from thor, vision and ironman didn't even destroy him, and he pummeled thor pretty easily. He seemed more of a brute force kind of guy
Was it faithful to the comics?
Not really but that's okay. If I wanted it to be completely faithful to the comics, I would just read the comics.
Did you like how Ultron was portayed?
I did like Evil Stark.
Any opinions about it?
I think as far as intermediate movies of trilogies go, this is one of the better ones. The Vision was awesome.

I'm not sure, I haven't read age of ultron, is it good?
Did u like how ultron was portrayed?
Honestly I thought ultron wasn't as scary or menacing(I mean cap held his own against him) as he was in the trailer so it was a bummer but i could still settle for this one
Any opinions about it?
Yeah, I don't think it's as good as people anticipated or think it is, but it was still fun to watch and I hope to god marvel makes thanos scary
I enjoyed it, but I think my love of the first one made my expectations too high. I was a little let down by certain aspects.
Was it faithful to the comics? No, not at all. That whole relationship thing came outta nowhere, so I thought that was dumb. And a lot of the movie felt like exposition for more of the Universe (specifically all that Infinity Gauntlet awesomeness) than an actual movie.
Ultron wasn't faithful to the comics either, however I honestly LOVED the way he was portrayed. Probably my second favorite CBM villain, right after Joker.
All in all it was a very enjoyable movie, but it was nowhere near as jaw dropping as the first one.
In the books Ultron AI was based on Hank Pym's Brain patterns, in the movie it is from jarvis and his interaction with the mind gem, perhaps with some tony stark mixed in, in that way i think he was the best MCU villain, but overall that still goes to Loki, Black widow and Banner, i think it worked, troubled former kgb assassin meets tortured scientist turned green monster, they helped each other deal with the issues they suffered, Im a man but i think Black Widow was a strong female character that stood out in this film, and hawkeye's family was an amazing touch, it made what hawkeye has down in all his appearances much more, meaningful and selfless. for me it was 9.5/10 absolutely loved this film
My favorite MCU movie. Although Ultron was too weak in my opinion. I was expecting some grand finale fight where Ultron is taking on every Avenger at once and he's only stopped through some plot device. I was disappointed in that regard.
There was a lot of jokes and comedy but I actually enjoyed the movie quite a lot. I give it an 8/10. Things that could have been better were having ultron be more powerful, getting rid of the banner/Natasha relationship and not having Hawkeye set up with a family.
@batman1130: Yeah the relationship with banner and BW was too forced and awkward
Ultron was a bit underpowered but at least he was funny
And speaking of which the humor was great
The line about the Vibranium cocktail with Tony and Ultron was priceless

this so much!! I thought it was going to happen when he made his final body but NO! no final fight against the team :(
@rikr2: that final fight against the team will be reserved for thanos.

true but they could have made Ultron a bigger threat
@rikr2: Anybody else notice how Ultron's "No strings on me" line from the teaser trailer was absent in the film?
@rikr2: Exactly. It was ridiculous. What was even the point of upgrading himself if they were just going to portray him getting blasted to oblivion in a 6 second scene?
