Did the new Kirk deserved his place as the captain ?

In the 2009 Star Trek movie, Do you think that Kirk deserved his place as captain of

the Enterprise ?

Also, how did the new Spock meet Spock Prime, when Prime died at Wrath of Khan ?

spock prime was resurrected in "the search for spock."

I didn't feel like he'd earned it, he just lucked into it.

As awesome as the Abram's Star Trek series is, yeah I don't feel like he earned it.

The ST Reboot was a great movie. very bad science fiction. TERRIBLE Star Trek.

it was so jam-packed with lapses of logic, I can't count them all.

think about it: this Kirk became captain because the experienced intelligent admirals sent their home fleet off to protect some planet from a distraction and left the home planet undefended. yeah, right.
