Recently I have been on a forum and some people(including myself) were getting off topic on the design of what a action cartoon can or should look like. Some people think action cartoons should look more realistic or some look should be stylized. While I know that people prefer different things I thought it would be a nice discussion of what a person who is going to design a cartoon should focus first, Style or Realism

Moderatlely stylized: Samurai Jack, Spectacular Spider-Man, Symbionic Titan,Motor City, Tron Uprising,
Slightly Stylized: Bruce Timm's works, Young Justice, Generator Rex, and most of 90s Marvel
Heavy Stylized: El Tigre, My Life as a Teenage Robot, PPG, and Robotboy
