What did you guys think of Deathstroke's portrayal in Young Justice or in Flashpoint Paradox?
Deathstroke - Animated portrayals
@kasumi_geist: I agree with the ponytail part, I mean seriously, someone could grab his hair in the middle of a fight and stop him right then and there.
However I prefer his classic hairstyle rather than to having short, military style hair.
On topic, I though flashpoint Deathstroke was "ok" since he had a cool character design and they even brought Ron Pearlman back to voice him which was nice, but then they immediately kill him off which I wouldn't have minded if he was used in the movie for more than just that one scene. Overall there wasn't really much to like.
I didn't really like Young Justice Deathstroke for the above mentioned reason, someone could just grab his ponytail and end the fight right away. Not so great at tactical planning was he?
Young Justice Slade was awesome, and guys really? "grab the pony tail"? Just like how people grab Artemis' or grab Batman's cape, they just don't.
@supbatz: Yeah I liked Young Justice Slade. Definitely needed more screen time and more action for him.
Ron Perlman voicing Slade should be just as synonymous as Kevin Conroy voicing Batman. He would have been so much better then the guy they got him to voice in "Injustice". Imagine a Kevin Conroy-voiced Batman fighting a Ron Perlman voiced Slade. His voice is honestly what I hear when I read anything Slade is in.
I dunno, both of them are particularly small parts. It would have been interesting if they had an episode dedicated to him in "Young Justice". If I had to choose between the 2 portrayals, I guess I'd say "Young Justice" because it wasn't as small as "Flashpoint".
@aros001: I was gonna mention Slade in Teen Titans but didn't for the exact reason you stated. He was very different there than in the comics, whereas I've been told the other two appearances were a closer resemblance.
Didn't care for either design. Young Justice had that stupid ponytail, and I didn't like the orange trim around his mask. He also looked a little skinnier than the bulkier Slade I prefer. Flashpoint Deathstroke - like everyone else in the film - had weird-arse proportions. Both had cool fight scenes, but weren't particularly noteworthy character-wise.
Slade in Teen Titans was one of the few things I liked from that cartoon though. Sure, he was a little different than the comics - more master planner and less mercenary. But come on, he was voiced by Ron Perlman.
@ultrastarkiller: Wow everyone seems to be bothered by his ponytail lol

It was not good hypnosis...not good
@ironshinobi88: Wait Son of Batman overall was atrocious or Deathstroke's portrayal was atrocious?
Deathstroke in Young Justice was pretty cool. He was OK in Flashpoint Paradox but absolutely horrible in Son of Batman.
Slade in Teen Titans was awesome. He was alright in YJ, didn't like his design though. He was a bit too skinny and the ponytail bothers me.

@hypnosis: EVERYTHING about young justice was awesome, although is appearance was small. Pretty good in Flashpoint as well. Just great animation, honestly.
Paradox looked the best bit he came and went(team Aquaman was great to see. Aquaman/Aqualad/Tempest/Tula)
I liked Young Justice better. Besides Young Justice one of the most reasonable showings of villains(it was amazing. It justified how street level could be a problem for high tiers not to mention some villains are long term conquered who adjust plans) Slade personality did show. Confident, noble and very business like. A deep contrast to Sportmaster's cocky, vendetta-driven brute.

I think the ideal Slade would be the design and voice from Paradox with the portrayal from Young Justice.
