What character deaths did you dislike the most, be it Comic, novels, movies, TV, etc?

E.G
Russell Edgington from HBO's True Blood  being easily killed off by Eric Northman, despite being older and more powerful.

Lila in Dexter. Way too uneventful, considering her major role in the second series and the amount of trouble she caused. Felt a bit cheated.

@OmegaDynasty: I agree about Russel, I didn't mind him being killed by Eric..but come on, he died before the opening credits even came on!!

Anyway, Bane's death in TDKR kinda annoyed me, he was the big bad for the whole movie, and when it was revealed he wasn't..boom, killed by freakin' Selina Kyle

Also, Voldemort's death in the Harry Potter book series was very anti climatic and he lost literally due to a technicality. Same thing with Sauron in LOTR

Well, what they should have done is make Billith (Bill + Lilith) kill Russel.
Doing this would show how powerful Bill has become after drinking Lilith's blood. So you would have a 3,000 ancient vampire full of fairy blood and magic fighting Bill powered by Lilith.  (Much better story IMO.)

Another death that didn't sit well with me was Dale from Walking Dead TV series.

Shane in The Walking Dead comics. That guy was so crazy, that I wanted to see more of his crazy craziness.

Died too soon.... but it sure was nice to see Carl headshoot him :D.

Louis in Dexter, and Gavril Ivanovich in Justice League International. They felt so uneventful and useless.

90% of the deaths in the Walking Dead series. Every time I start liking someone they get their head cut off, crossbow bolt through the eye, skull bashed in, etc. Its taxing reading something that depressing.

The death of Silhouette. Only thing that I hated Moore for...........

As a matter of fact, I have trouble with killing women left and right without a fitting purpose. However, this is found in every media.

The James Bond movies really annoy when the evil girl dies, even if she was going to kill Bond.

@Thor's hammmer: He had a great death.

Samuel L Jackson death in deep blue sea, it was a ultimate "c'mon man" .

And Theoden in TLOTR, he could of dodge that dragon.

He was my favorite hero, and the first comic book I ever had along with Dc comics version Shazam/Cap Marvel when I was kid . I tried to keep up with him, then he died from cancer, it disturbed me as a kid.

I love and hate that at the same time. I like that the deaths are rarely predictable and character importance doesn't come into play. That being said,

Tyreese

Ok it was a glorious death scene, but I really liked him :(

It definitely makes for a fantastic story. It is just so depressing. It probably didn't helpthat I bought all the tpbs all in one weekend and read them all straight through last week. That's a lot of death.

Nathan Pettrelli in heroes. one of micahs parents could have survived too. the crusader skrulls death pissed me off too

Tyreese dies?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOO. I'm still far back in the comics and I didn't know that yet, but I liked the guy. D:

@tomlikesfries: :( I should have spoiler blocked! My bad "I won't tell you when then so at least you will have to keep guessing" sorry I ruined that for readers who are behind. I'll go back and block it now.

@The Stegman- Totally agree about Banes death in TDKR. Way anti-climactic. It's one of the few problems I have with Nolan as a director is that he tries to put so much into one film that he doesn't let anything linger. It's just action, action, dialogue, and go, jump to next scene. Compare this to a scene from Kill Bill in which the Bride and Elle stare each other down before charging at each other for their climactic showdown. Adds more character and intensity to the movie. Don't get me wrong Nolan is still one of my favorites.

@Cap10nate: WALKING DEAD SPOILERS! Yeah but that's why I've learned to not grow attached to any characters except Rick (who I'm not particularly fond of). When people died at the beginning of the series it was genuinely surprising, like Lori and the baby. Then Kirkman got overconfident and started killing anyone named Rick, when they killed Glen I didn't really care.

#26 Posted by KnightRise (4785 posts) - - Show Bio

As an avid Vampire Diaries watcher, I learned early on that damn near any character that wasn't introduced in the first few episodes (and some that were) is going to die a painful, tragic(?) death. It sucks because a lot of them are great characters.

#27 Posted by dmkicksballs13 (110 posts) - - Show Bio

I hate any superhero death, just because I know they're going to bring them back. Hell Batman didn't even die, so all the BS lead up and the naming it Batman RIP was just to sell comics. Ed Brubaker tried to kill Steve Rogers for good and let Bucky Barnes take over as Captain America, but Marvel had Ed write him back in (which pissed me off).

Spider-man Clone Saga spoilers.

I really, really, really hated it, when they killed Ben Reilly. It was one of the best comic character I've seen and they just killed him off permanently and haven't bought back after like 20 years. Plus it was stupid, that they killed Aunt May in #400 and later bought back for no reason. Totaly pointless. What the hell where writers smoking back then?

#35 Posted by stumpy49er (609 posts) - - Show Bio

@tahmidk: I hate when Mike dies. And the kid. Still though Breaking Bad is imo the best show ever.

what series and issue and who kills him? wouldnt suprised me if cap thought he was a risk because he was blue and thats a colour like red which the phoenix likes so he tried taking him forcefully into custody and ended up killing him

On the plus side though, it took someone with god like power to kill him. That and he actually wanted it to happen.

darwin in x-men first class he shouldn't have died. it should have been the pixie character with wings.

mike from breaking bad

bobby from supernatural

ulquiorra from bleach he's one of my favorite so far villians

kaldur from yj he's not dead, but he might as well be since he's lobomitized DC needs to use aqualad in comics he could be a great villian or anti-hero

shane from walking dead because he was the most badass character on the show who knew how to take charge better than rick.
