DC should bring back Chuck Dixon

So I've been rereading a lot of the old great Bat-Family books from the late 90's and I noticed that a lot of them had one thing in common...they were all written by Chuck Dixon and they're all fantastic!!! Seriously, Nightwing, Robin, Birds of Prey, Detective Comics, and Batgirl Year One....these are some amazing books. They really need to bring this guy back into the Bat-Fold and put him to work!!

He's badmouthed Didio so that's not happening any time soon.

DC should bring back a lot of creators but I doubt they'll be back. And I think DC should give new creators a chance rather than bringing back old creators.

It would be a good thing if he got back to DC but I doubt it that it would happen.

I think the industry should look for new talent.

I mean there is a freacking Fan Fic that fixed everything wrong with Civil Wars.

How is that the guys isnt working in Marvel is beyond me.

I love Chuck Dixon as well, but it seems he's been blackballed for whatever reason. Anybody have a source for the Dixon bashing Didio claim?

It would be cool to see how Dixon would write the Bat Family these days. His books had a sense of humor and never took themselves too seriously, and the Bat books have lost that since his departure. I love a good serious Batman story, but DC seems to be afraid that if they inject fun into the medium, they will destroy the DC universe.

The first two chapters already read better than Civil War did. Not too shabby at all.

I saw someone else say that somewhere but I can't seem to find anything online about it....the only thing I've found is that in 2008 he posted on his blog that he was no longer employed by DC in any capacity....the funny thing is that he's still getting paid for Bane

Yeah, its a sad day when the comic book industry fail to understand it should be trying to find a way to get this people.

They like the material and have new way to see things.

I wasn't a fan of what the fan fic writer did to the Sentry or the Thor clone's redesign but outside of that, it was very much a vast improvement on Civil War. His writer's notes were especially interesting in clarifying his changes to the original source material too.

Which shows there was a reason on the changes and it explain changes must came from some place and have a reason.

I mean, Civil Wars was a huge example of how a comic book concept as great as ti could be, it needs more that just the concept.

Well of course, he created him and gets royalties for it.

He's barked at Marvel too and blames being blacklisted for his politics, though according to Brevoort he's not blacklisted at Marvel.

well that sucks....it is still kind of vague though...I wish that when creators got fired that the people in charge would just come out and tell everyone why...I know politics prevent that kind of stuff but it would be nice
