dc and marvel plot devices

can u name a list of dc, and marvel plot devices?

Maybe not a list, but Marvel has away of tuning omega level mutant chicks into plot devices. DC on the other hand just makes more Earths.

i'll tell you DCs biggest plot device: BATMAN!!

Marvel: "Haha, just kidding, that was just a robot LMD! The REAL [character's name] is in deep cover/in suspended animation/never existed/is a clone."

DC: "There's a crisis that threatens the end of the multiverse, and everyone has to band together to stop it!"

Marvel: "The world hates me no matter what I do, but I'll still defend it even if I lose everything in the process".

DC: "I'm going to kick the bad boy's ass sticking to the good old school American values, and if I don't, I'll go to the JSA for rehab".
