I prefer a lighter book, with some dark under (and occasionally over,) tones.

Too much of the same thing gets old, so both.

I love darker comic books. Not too dark, just around Batman/Miller Daredevil dark.

Like the light, prefer the serious, doesn't have to be dark, but that's alright too.

Dark. But I will have lighthearted series to balance out my pull list. Case in point I just added the Rick and Morty and Invader Zim comics to my line-up.

Either without moderation isn't good. Too dark, and people reading will just get depressed and find little reason to continue reading due to there being no hope for a satisfying ending, or for their own sanity. Too light and it could become childish. Balance happiness, with the sadness, the happiness makes you care and gives you hope, the sadness hits you in the feels and makes you want to keep reading to satisfy your need for a happy ending.

Very very dark with a dash of light for comedic moments I like dark/gritty stories Berserk is one example. I feel like everything is light hearted cheery just so company executives can put spiderman or who ever on shitty light up shoes or juice boxes, or make some toy line, because its "for the children" yeah the same kids running around in cod yelling they did your mom.......

Depends what's going on in my life.

In lighter times I could not stomach the light hearted shallow stupidity of Sabrina the teenage witch but in a time when my life was dark Sabrina was just the medicine I needed.

The correct answer is good comic books. As far as tone and content, variety and balance is key for me. For example, I love Superior Foes of Spider-Man and Ant-Man just as much as Batman or Southern Bastards. All are very different books.
