I don't see a problem with it

it's the same design as the Ultimate Spider-man Green Goblin and he's most likely going to have an origin that involves a variation on the Lizard formula from the first film so it makes sense that he would have some sort of physical mutation

plus it's better than the Raimi Green Goblin

They release figures of characters that aren't in the film along with movie characters all the time. I recall the Dark Knight action figure line had Deathstroke in it. It doesn't necessarily mean he will be in the film. Its possible though.

I love William DaFoe...but the costume and especially the mask they made him wear was just pathetic. He has awesome facial expressions...so lets cover it up with a mask. Ugh.

When a was a young'n, I always preferred the Green Goblin in the Ultimate Spider-Man video game to the one in the Sam Raimi film. So I'm pretty psyched about this.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a cameo at the end of him transforming or something - especially given TASM is all ready confirmed for 3 and 4

Ugh, I figured they were going to go for ultimate goblin but was hoping they wouldn't.

@fallschirmjager: I knew about Norman, but wasn't expecting him to become GG until the third movie. Would be cool to see his transformation in the second, at least.

@geekbait: I think a post-credits teaser is more likely than actually seeing him transform at the end of TASM2.

Anything's possibly I suppose though.
