Not animated but live action like Arrow & Smallville. Do you think it could be done & be successful? If so who would play Bruce Wayne/Batman ?

No why? That'd be a step down and it probably be garbage restricted to tv budgets and rules.

I'd like to watch a Batman series on HBO with Karl Urban or John Hamm as Batman and Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat as Showrunners. Maybe Cumberbatch as Joker.

why give Batman for free when they will give you Batman for a price?

Smallville wasn't about Superman. It was about Clark. The minute he became Superman it ended :p

TV shows do make money. TimeWarner makes more money from TV shows then movies.

Yes, because they have hundreds of tv shows to only a couple dozen movies are year.

Compare it 1v1.

More like 40-50 TVs shows vs. 15-20 movies per year, and movie budgets and marketing costs are very high compared to TV. I'm not saying they should not make any more Batman movies, Superman Returns was released when Smallville was airing, same with Sherlock Holmes movies and Sherlock TV series, if anything it will add to the movie numbers.
