Could Galactus beat the Justice league?

When galactus attacks any planet in marvel there are tons of groups of heroes that come to stop him. The avengers have tony and reed and hank and a lot of genius who help defeat him. Can the justice league do this. They have lots of physical advantages but do they have the smarts to figure this out? They could call the GL corps and they have a powerful league but could they make something like the ultimate nullifier. If they could who would build it? What im saying is could they win this through just the league?

Galactus would probably starve in the DC Universe, especially with all the Lanterns running around. He's powerful, but he'd probably use up more power destroying those trying to stop him than he'd get from devouring the planet.

I think they would be able to come up with a plan, aside from the usual Batman being smart, Superman is no slouch in the IQ department. If they decided to make a device like you mentioned the Avengers did, they would be able to build it super fast because of The Flash and Superman's speed.

But seriously DC have there own Reed Richards and Tony Starks. Bruce Wayne, Ray Palmer, Michael Holt, J'onn J'onzz, also magic users like Dr. Fate, and so many other. And GL corps too.

...as was said above, the truckload of lanterns (not just Green, mind you) should be more than enough to keep Galactus busy.

Only vs the Justice League ofcourse he could beat them, lesser man has.. Although it wouldnt take long for them to come back and beat him. VS the entire DC Universe, no chance.

If its just the league then no they die. With all the powerhouses they have JLA would attack first to repel Galactus and get stomped. The FF knew they had no chance and got helped because Uatu cheated and helped them get the Ultimate Nullifier and Silver Surfer rebelled. Without outside help or an equivalent device in the DCU, JLA gets croaked and Earth perishes.

@jonsmith: the universe is BIG place, there's plenty of planets he could devour unnoticed. If we're going off this scenario like Galactus was always in the DCU, he'd be pretty powerful because by being formed in the Big Bang he'd predate the Guardians, hell he could've been the hand Krona saw when peered back in time. Imagine Big G being the reason the Guardians created the GLC? Just imagining, that'd be a huge issue of What If.

Would the other green lanterns even help them? Wouldn't the guardians tell them that Galactus is a natural, equalizing/balancing ,universal force, etc. that needs to be left to do what he must?

So Deathstroke can stomp the JLA by himself, but Galactus falls? That's DC continuity in a nutshell.

the jla only have a chance if they have prep time which would end with supes sundipping and doing sumthan crazy to make galactus leave
