I voted for Morrison and would anyway even with other options but come on man, where is Alan Moore? Marv Wolfman? Mark Waid? Greg Rucka? Peter Tomasi?Ed Brubaker? J. Michael Straczinski?

No Brubaker? Captain America is one of the best ongoings right now! (Or at least in my opinion...)

My favorite writers are Warren Ellis and Ed Brubraker but if I had to pick someone on the list I would go with...Grant Morrison. If you had asked during Civil War I would have said Bendis.

Yeah, but if you don't have Neil Gaiman, then I can't vote!

Really.  I tried.  It didn't work.

lol...Well, I'm moaning about the poll, so if I'm moaning about nothing, then what's that say about the poll?

Really, though.  I doubt anyone is really moaning, but what's the difference between "moaning" about your opinion of the choices to a poll, really (<--- REALLY) not hurting anyone, and "moaning" about people moaning about it.

Can ya' tell what bugs me?  Yes!  The same thing that bugs you! ;)

Garth Ennis and Warren Ellis

From that list, Morrison and Johns are the only ones I really like. Mark Millar and Garth Ennis are pretty good too but most of those guys wouldn't make my top 20.

Nice to see Loeb doesn't have a single vote.

I know space is limited, but I would have to put my favorite, Robert Kirkman up there in contention. However, the list does contain some pretty darn good writers. Morrison tends to be pretty high profile, but also tends to formulalically destroy a character to rebuild him in his image. Surprising that Alan Moore and Frank Miller are not on there as well.

My vote Robert Kirkman. Second vote is Geoff Johns.

Not one vote for Loeb... Not one... Hahaha!

Christopher Priest isn't on the list. I'm disappointed.

#32 Edited by Psychotime (623 posts) - - Show Bio

Don't care about anyone on that list. I'm neutral with Morrison right now until I read more of his stuff, and I don't like Leob at all.

Where's Paul Dini?

Out of the list, I picked Millar. I like Ennis and Morrison, but I definitely favor Millar over either. If we could pick anyone, I'd pick Warren Ellis/Neil Gaiman/Brian Vaughn. If I was forced to choose between those three, I'd be very sad.

I personally think that Johns is the best writer of this generation. Pretty much everything he touches is a hit.
