Battle for Bludhaven was good.
Villains United, while a great concept, suffered because Gail Simone http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DidNotDoTheResearch
You saw Fatality (Green Lantern level villain) go down to a martial artist. You saw Hyena (Firestorm level villain) go down to the same girl. Killer Frost (whose power is to absorb heat) get koed by a deflected shot of heat from Weather Wizard (whose shots can't be deflected because he doesn't aim his wand directly at his target). Then Deadshot and Deathstroke fought to a draw despite Deathstroke being powerful enough to take on teams of superheroes on his own and Deadshot being like 0 for 8 against just Batman.
The whole thing turned into a bad joke and at the end, if you really like villains, you wish that Alex Luthor had just sent one powerful villain (Black Adam, Bizarro, Cheetah, Dr Psycho, Zoom, Polaris, or hell Fatality, Weather Wizard, Hyena or Killer Frost if Gail had done her job) to crush the Six and save himself all the trouble.
It didn't help that VU: A Hero Dies But One ended with Doomsday and a whole ton of powerful villains about to face off against a rag tag team of superheroes and then in the next issues of Infinite Crisis, Superman and Superman show up and one shot Doomsday and Bizarro. This isn't Adam West Batman. We shouldn't have impossible situation cliffhangers that get resolved in the first 2 seconds on the next show.
