Comics that deal with alien political relations?

I always liked the idea of different species in a galactic community, having political relations with each other. I played mass effect and loved how the lore is handled, I'm hoping for something similar along those lines if you're familiar with the game.

So, what are some comics that deal with this?

Also, don't bother recommending Green Lantern and Star Wars, cause I'm already reading those.

Have you looked into Saga? It's all about a war between two races.
