After DC new reboot, I stopped caring about new comics. Not because they are bad or anything, some of the new 52 titles are actually pretty good. But its not the same. I'm not Superboy Prime, who are yelling over that everything were much better in my time(MY time? Dear lord, I sound old, and I'm 22), but I am kinda sad over that the old gigantic DC universe have been replaced with a much smaller one. But something good came out of it I guess; my new interest in comics not collected in TPB.

Its kind of a hobby now. The most of the comics I used to buy were TBP from comic-shops, but after a period were, I have to admit, I kinda went Superboy Prime and goggled old comics of reasons of nostalgia, I realized that so many stories weren't collected in TPB and that I had never heard of them before, like Connor Hawks adventures in Dixons run on Green Arrow. And now it is a hobby for me to hunt down titles never collected in books, since many of them are damn good. I think I will make a top 9 or something about my favorite not collected in TPB series one day.

Do you have some recommendations for a comic never collected in TPB?

Christopher Priest's Black Panther run.

The first twelve issues or so are collected (even though these trades are retardedly difficulty to find), but the rest of his superb run isn't. Pick it up if you ever have the chance.

Oh and Miracleman I guess...

Jeeez Marvel really needs to reprint these trades. Do they own the rights now?

They own the rights to the character and early stories but don't think they own the rights to the one series worth reading.

Glad I'm not the only one opting for the old over the new. I have been trying to hunt down Chuck Dixon's Detective Comics run at least the ones with Robin in them since he was the only writer that did any dynamic duo stories with Tim Drake.

@juliedc: I have recently brought a box full of Robin comics, and it is Dixon, so I have high expectations. Have you read some of Dixons Green Arrow comics?

@waezi2: I haven't had a chance to read any Green Arrow stories yet unfortunately.

@waezi2: Over the years I've managed to collect most of Chuck Dixon's Robin run. It is excellent! Haven't read much of his Conor Hawke GA stuff. But I will at some point.

@waezi2: Oh count on it. Chuck Dixon is arguably the best writer for street level heroes. I'm still collecting the tail end of Mike Grell's GA. After that its on to the Conor stuff.
