Comics and Nudity

Rose Wilson or Ravager basically does the same.  In Top Cow you have Witchblade wearing even less then most comic heroins.  I mean if your gonna show such skantily clad women just go all the way and get it over with. Marvel did with Marvel Max when it showed power princess nude, and had sex scenes in Punisher Max. DC you should just do that or dress your women better. Its insulting and basically just odd that you show barely dressed women ALL the time and like in the case of starfire are kinda teasing the public. Why dont you just show them nudity already and get it overwith at least SOME nudity. "

I wouldn't mind nudity in my comics t all, I'd actually prefer it. They have them in such skimpy outfits already, why not show them topless once in a while?

maybe because kids could forget about their moms ever buying them a comic book again.
there are other publications for one to find this sort of stuff, not to mention im pretty sure
the internet caters to it mucho.

^^^ Moms shouldn't be buying the youngins "parental advisory" comics anyways. How is seeing boobs any worse than hearing swear words?

Honestly I don't think of characters sexually, so it doesn't honestly come into it for me. If women wearing revealing outfits is the worst thing you find in this life you must have lived under a rock. Do you get offended when you go to the beach and girls are wearing bikinis? I don't see how Donna Troy in a pair of bathers is any worse.

oh, i see whats going on here. i thought the OP was requesting nudity in mainstream books.

when did they show Conner and Cassie having sex? I was shocked when they showed Mon-el sleeping with a co-worker, i guess i just cant see any superhero with the S on their uniform having sex out of wed lock. Ive said this before too. Like when they show a super herione taking a shower and all thats blocking their bodies are some well stuck bubbles or steam. I ultimately say there is no need and they should just get rid of it. They other heroes should tell starfire to get another outfit that is more publicly ok. Like when Dr Light Killed off some black lanterns. She used so much power that it tore off her outfit. the only thing covering her was her hair over her chest and her hips turned just right. There was no need for it "

thats cool. At least it was done right. Was there any reason why? Like because the world was coming to an end? Did they mention if it was a first for either of them? its still shocking to me that memebers from either group (themysera or from the Super Family) would do that out of wed lock Although im also one that would be all for them getting married "

If you want to see your favorite super heroes naked and bumping their bits together, just find that stuff on the internet. No need to revolutionize comic book standards.

Is this really what you think about when you see females in comics.I mean it's not like I don't notice that Ms.Marvel,Powergirl etc. are half naked but is it really that big a deal? I don't want nudity in my comics.It's there in MAX comics and there's almost never a need for it.It's like MAX knows that the comics are uncensored so the profanity and sex is just randomly thrown in.The only MAX comics that are actually good is the Punisher.The rest of that stuff is borderline Hentai Manga.Pure crap. THAT aside most like boob shots or w/e in movies seem like out of place/fan service and it would be way harder to portray in comics and if they are gonna start having breasts all over the place then it should be equal and have male nudity as well, but I'm sure that wont happen cause alot of guys would complain and whine.

well, i do believe what the Op is saying if im reading it right, is not that there should be comics with nudity (since there already
are, in fact my Night Of The Living Dead comic sprung some real X-rated type stuff on me recently). but he was saying that books 
like Teen Titans, and i quote should have nudity in them, sinice mature rated books already do, which was at least what i know i was talking against. and if you think Teen Titans should have full frontal nude Starfire and Donna going on in it, more the power to you but i definatly dont see it happening, and personally for the sake of a portion of the age group that does read Titans i also would vote against it if it came to it.

The comic i ready the other day went much much further than Nudity O_O

I enjoy it when my heroes become personal, but TOO personal? Not for me.
Refer to sex, don't show it, and I'm fine.
 
I also have a problem with certain characters using certain words, but that is a rant for another time.

It may be worth pointing out that depictions of female nudity are generally much more accepted than depictions of male nudity in every medium, not just comic books.  For me its just an issue of is the story being told effectively.  There are some stories that nudity can be effectively placed in certain parts of to actually help tell the story.  There are also other stories that if you throw nudity in will be seem awkwardly placed or even distasteful.

I believe that nudity in Comics is ok and can be an effective method of storytelling, but not for more Marvel and DC. I'm with Robert Kirkman when he says Marvel and DC should change there focus group to a younger demographic.
