Damn, this is tough. Part of me wants to vote for one of the awesome characters that is already up there like Guy Gardner or Zatanna. But no. I have to pick my favorite and they are not quite at the very top. Maybe Captain Atom...
Damn, this is tough. I will make my choice soon, but question: This is mostly heroes and the winners will all probably be. So... are you going to do a villains version? Because having those two Ultimate teams established in our CV universe could lead to some fun fan fiction projects.
@Pizawle: I was thinking about that. I wanted this to be both as you probably read in the beginning. Just a super awesome team united by some mutual crisis. That said if like you said the top ten are solid heroes then I probably will. I am going to see how this one goes first. As far as your vote just vote your favorite. You never know. I was happy to see Guy Gardner and Ted Kord get two votes before guys like Wolverine, Superman and Captain America got any. You just never know.
@Liberty: This image is from the new graphic novel Superman:Earth 1 which will be a modern re-imagining of Superman's origins (although non-canon to the mainstream universe). So I guess this counts as Superman.
I think Quicksilver is better. He is haughty, crude, have serious issues with women and very unstable. All the speedster should be like him. My vote for Pietro Maximoff:

My vote would be for Deadshot but he technically qualifies as a villain. So am unsure what to do there. Do not want to waste my vote if it does end up an all-hero team and I re vote for him anyway for the villains squad. But if there will be no villains squad then I want to support him as he is my favorite character.
So... Deadshot if this will be the only team, Captain Atom if it will not (Maybe I like Shatterstar more but Captain Atom is much more deserving). You can sort this out, Liberty.

My favorite part about this image taken out of context is you can't tell if the little girl is running and crying because of the elephant or because Superman is creaming the elephant. I'll let you, as the viewer, choose which you like best. He's a great hero and well respected. Any team would be lucky to have him.
I'm going to throw my vote to Brainiac 5. Sure he's gone crazy a couple of times and tried to destroy the Legion, but hey. He's better now. Anyway, Brainy's my choice, since no one else has nominated any Legionnaires. This guy's always a step ahead of everyone else.. and hey.. he was able to bring back Conner Kent and Bart Allen! Oh yeah.. he engineered Superboy-Prime's beat down!
@Amegashita: Believe me I know. Check out my lists. They are full of guys that don't get their due. At least historically Captain Marvel had his day where he was king. Considered better than Superman by many.
@Liberty: That's because he is better than Superman. Not only that, but his legacy on the effect of comics is greater than Supermans. Billy Batson showed that having a kid as a hero could actually work, thus the creation of Robin. The Marvel Family was the first superhero family (if I remember correctly) in our timeline. The Adventures of Captain Marvel was the first superhero movie ever.
Captain Marvel, Billy Batson, deserves a lot of respect. In fact, I think the reason I can't get into Superman all the way is because I'm a Captain Marvel fan.
