Maybe by more realistic and emotional they mean that Superman will focus more on the pressures of being Superman, having to be this perfect superhero when really he isn't. Or how he has to live a split life as Clark and Superman. I don't know, I will still give it a shot.
So he wants the comic industry, an industry that I have spent my life working to get into, that I love drawing for and can't imagine doing anything else, to die? Why? Because he wants it to? Hrm. Maybe I shouldn't buy any more of his comics then.
That's silly, she probably doesn't even know I exist.
No, she must know it. And I'm sure she's totally fond of tyrants in grey armors.
Alan actually foresaw the end days of comics once before (after he finished Watchmen) and well the medium did recede it did not go the way of the dinosaur. And I do not foresee it dying off now either (no disrespect to the old man).
I don't know what I dislike more, the thought of "beyond watchmen" or the thought that I might buy it.
VERY excited about DKR! I think Hathaway will surprise us all!
I'm nervous about Man of Steel. Superman is not an edgy character. He's not supposed to be. You can have a cool hero without making him dark and emo. So i'm remaining cautious about that.
I hate Alan Moore. I think his writing is a little overrated and that he's just a bitter old man who needs to grow up. I don't care about anything he says anymore and I have no respect for his opinions as a human being.
Spider-Men seems cool. Not a huge Marvel guy, but i like Miles!
I just can't get myself excited about the Avengers movie. Not until there's a justice league movie. I also don't want it to outsell DK or DKR.
1. Anyone else thinks Alan Moore will be one day found dead in his home after having choked on his beard in an attempt to eat it in frustration?
2. Am I the only one who wished DC would bother going into details about their monthly comics rather their limited series at conventions that aren't in San Diego?
Note to DC: If you want to tease people about your upcoming events, you might have more success if your own interviews gave more than 'the creators are excited' or 'everyone I am working with are superb' (and dont use the size of the corpse pile as a sales point)
Uh, guys? Nobody but me realizes how charming this young journalist is? I mean, I love comics and all, but why has she got to be so energetic and joyous and simply beautiful? Is that me?
Great work on the news, Sara.
You know, I was having dinner with my mother a while back, and she asked me about who was going to be playing Catwoman in the Batman movies. She knows very little of the comics at all, and even she looked confused about Hathaway being in the role. Then, there are those cat ears. I'm really starting to wonder if Nolan just doesn't like women.
Why, oh Bloody, why does everyone try to make their heroes into Batman when rebooting? Making him moody didn't work out well for Superman Returns. Superman doesn't need to be darker. Just write a good story. It works for Batman because he's the DARK Knight. I roll my eyes every time I see hear someone talk about making heroes more brooding. They did that all in the 90s with a lot of comics. Most of them aren't around anymore.

#1 yes god yes.
Anne Hathaway ? What a step down from Michelle Pfieferthey couldn't find someone hotter? We go from sad turtle face Maggie Gyllenhal to horse face Anne? I'm..sad now.
Alan Moore looks crazier and crazier every time I see him.
Also is it just me or does Christan Bales face look squeezed into the Batman cowl?
The Dark Knight's atmosphere worked for Batman because he's the dark knight. Emo Superman doesn't sound to good at all. The only problems i can see him having is that super hearing, trying not to break stuff, and whatever lex luthor cooks up with kryptonite involved. Peter meeting Miles is confusing me. I thought he was dead in the Ultimateverse. Is this some cross dimensional thing?
@anarchyclown: with the new Marvel Cinematic Universe & the movie industry leaching the very soul from the comics we love (some for better the majority for worse) it may only be a matter of time...
On the upcoming Superman movie...sigh, great, just great! There are ways to make movies/ comics good without making them all dark and gritty. Superman isn't suppose to be 'dark and gritty'. But we'll see...I'm still looking forward to it!
I Can Not Wait Until The Dark Knight Rises!!
Alan Moore...is freakin crazy & not in a good way!
I just don't know what to think of Moore anymore. Really. Part of me wants to stand up for his beliefs and then there's the half of me whom by this point says to not really even take to heart what he says anymore. Blackest Night. The Killing Joke. Watchmen. As for the Superman news, I'm just hoping they are not trying to make it too painstakingly obvious that they want a "Realistic" Man of Steel film. The part that got me laughing was Bats on a unicorn though, now that was sweet!
Oh... my... GOD.
I just realized; whenever they would show pics of Catwoman in the DKR, they would show her with either high-tech goggles/glasses OR the ear mask combo. What I didn't realize until now is that the ears ARE the goggles. They just (cleverly) look like ears when viewed from a certain angle. Pfffffft, I must be an idiot.
If people say they are over Alan Moore, but still into Frank Miller, then there's something wrong with you.
I don't know why, but the idea of the Ultimate and 616 universes crossing over really bothers me. 616 and any other universe is fine, but Ultimate just seems wrong.

Nah, we realize how charming and beautiful Sara is. Its just one of those things that goes without saying. ;)
Hey Alan Moore, there are a lot of great, innovative comics being put out today. However you need to get your head out of your own ass to find them.
Wasn't V Natalie Portman's character in the movie? People love the Guy Fawkes mask.... If I'm remembering right, the comic's theme was anarchy vs fascism not liberals vs conservatives (the movie) or corporations vs consumers (the occupy movement).
Edit Evey is Portman, V is Hugo Weaving.
