Self proclaimed biggest Harley Quinn fan TheHummingbird takes the prize as this week's Community Star. She has received nominations for many weeks, and she has finally gained the much deserved title. TheHummingbird has helped enrich the Comic Vine community in a number of different ways; namely, she has created a lot of interesting and thought provoking blogs and asked all of you what you think about some pretty controversial topics.
It's no question that TheHummingbird has a bit of a bias for the Batman universe, considering she lists many of Batman's supporting characters as some of her favorites. Her most recent blog focused on one of the ladies of the Batman universe, Harley Quinn. In her blog titled Demeaning Harley Quinn? In which TheHummingbird cited her disdain at Harley's costume change which will go into effect starting this September with the revamp of the entire DC Universe.

Blogs like her The ID, Ego and Superego of Gotham takes Freudian ideology and applies it to characters that exist in Gotham City -- it is definitely worth a look. Another interesting blog post she has written is appropriately titled Stereotypes in Comics: Double Standards of Women where TheHummingbird looked at several of Batman's supporting cast of female characters compared their personality traits and characteristics to society's stereotypes of women. She's also written some light hearted blogs as well where she casts a Birds of Prey movie. She's also created a list citing Gotham City's craziest ladies which you can find here.
In addition to creating some very thought provoking blogs and providing interesting commentary, TheHummingbird has also taken part in Comic Vine's Roundtable Discussions which you can see here and here. She's also garnered 527 wiki points, 322 of which were added to Zatanna's character page and 90 points gained on Wonder Woman's page. All in all, TheHummingbird has definitely enriched the Comic Vine community and has been integral in bringing thought provoking discussions to the site. And if these reasons aren't enough, she should just win for her sense of humor. And for calling Justin Bieber a girl. Congratulations, TheHummingbird!
