I know it's a bit early but I wanna see if I missed something better than Moon Knight #5

Also are there any fan awards done here in the Vine?

@dimitridkatsis: We have fan awards for movies, but I can't remember if we have one for comics.

Anyway, my favorite issue this year (so far) was Green Arrow #31.

I read the Ellis/Shalvey Moon Knight in trade form (the whole thing fits into one volume). It wasn't bad, but it didn't blow my mind.

And your choice was pretty good too. I originally didn't plan on picking it up, but I found it a perfect "goodbye" to one of my favorite comic runs ever.

Issue 5 was awesome. It's pure action, he just runs a gauntlet of goons all the way up an apartment building.

Moon Knight 5 was really good. I'm trying to think of some of the other top issues I've read this year. I've read so much stuff from older years like Miller's DD, Byrne's FF, Lee and Kirby FF, and a lot more that trying to remember what is from 2014 is blurry for me.

@the_poet usually is the mod who has the years best comics pinned in the front page of the site. He doesn't to appear to be on the vine as much as he used to be so I'm not sure if we will get to vote like we did last year.

@xwraith: I almost passed on it too but Lemire's Green Arrow was my favorite New 52 series and one of my all time favorite comics next to Uncanny X-Force, Saga and X-O Manowar.

Lemire had a hard task having to conclude his run in a tie in event (Futures End) that takes place 5 years after his previous issue - all while he was setting it up for an even BIGGER, all as he was saying good-byes to these characters in an issue that served as an epilogue to his series and an prelude to bigger things to come. He's a truly talented writer.

Pretty much the whole Ellis/Shalvey run of Moon Knight, Lemire/Sorrentino run on Green Arrow, the Nailbiter series, Shutter series, and damn I can name so many but if I had to choose one, I'd go with GA #31 cause damn, that blew my mind. The artwork is amazingly done and the story was just incredible. 10/10 would read again
