Poll: Comic Book Question of the Week VOTING: Which Upcoming Movie Excites You the Most? (386 votes)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier 26%
Guardians of the Galaxy 15%
RoboCop 1%
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 13%
X-Men: Days of Future Past 24%
My eyes and ears demand ALL of them! 18%
Meh. Not really that excited for any of them. 4%

We're getting plenty of news about what the big screen will have in store for us in 2015 and beyond. A new X-Men movie has been announced, we're learning more and more about the characters in the second Avengers flick, and we're finally getting big news about Man of Steel's sequel. Needless to say, the future looks bright for comic book movies. However, 2014 is right around the corner and it would be quite rude to neglect it -- especially since it has more than a few awesome looking films. There's a lot of promising movies that'll soon invade our local cinemas, and we here at Comic Vine want to know which one gets you the most excited.

Is Bryan Singer's return to the X-Men something you can't wait for? Stoked for another dose of Spidey? Anxious to see the debut of a new Marvel franchise? Thrilled for Cap to jump back into the world? Or, do you think the Robocop reboot looks like a can't miss movie? They're all on the poll and we fully expect you to go get your vote on. Think it through and then cast your vote. Go on, don't be shy.

They're fighting for your attention. Feel loved.

The poll will remain open until Thursday morning (ET). Once it's locked, a new article will go live with the results and more. If you want to go the extra mile, go ahead and get your elaboration on. If your post is awesome enough and about the poll's winning option, we just may highlight it in the updated feature. Check the homepage Thursday to see the results and more!

Out of all the 2014 movies the only one's I am anticipating are (in order):

  1. X-men: Days of Future Past
  2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  3. Guardians of the Galaxy
  4. Amazing Spider-man 2
  5. Need for Speed
  6. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
  7. Godzilla

I have no expectations from any other movies

I am excited for all of them!

#3 Posted by lykopis (10756 posts) - - Show Bio

How can anyone not be excited for all of them? As comic books fans, this is like the golden age of film representation (somewhat).

I hardly ever watch movies but these past few years and the next has and will have me throwing money at the Box Office. I want more.

I am excited for all of them, but I remember seeing the after credits scene to The Wolverine and being sooooo incredibly pumped for Days of Future Past. After this I'm gonna say my second pick would be Captain America: The Winter Soldier

#5 Posted by TommytheHitman (2892 posts) - - Show Bio

1. X-Men Days of Future Past (THAT TRAILER!)

2. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (All those references...)

3. Robocop

4. Captain 'Merica (I don't like Cap)

5. Guardians of the Galaxy (I don't like the Marvel Studios movies that much)

6. They're making another Planet of the Apes movie?!

#6 Edited by Dernman (14763 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm pretty mellow about it. I will enjoy some of them when they come out but I'm not really all that excited.

Xmen

Spiderman

Captain America

#8 Posted by TheManInTheShoe (3876 posts) - - Show Bio

Guardians of the Galaxy. it seems so promising

#9 Edited by The_Tree (7235 posts) - - Show Bio

Guardians of the Galaxy, the cast is incredible.

#10 Posted by akbogert (3200 posts) - - Show Bio

Captain America, but only because it has the Brubaker seal of approval.

After that I guess would be ASM, though that's beginning to seem too crowded, which is also the problem I have with Days of Future Past.

#11 Posted by SynCig (387 posts) - - Show Bio

Days of Future Past is my most anticipated. Cap is a very close second. I'm excited for all of them on the list except for Robocop. From what I have seen of that it looks awful.

#12 Edited by The Stegman (23158 posts) - - Show Bio

1. Captain America 2

2. Amazing Spider-Man 2

3. Days of Future Past

4. Guardians of the Galaxy

i don't give two nuts and bolts about Robocop

#13 Posted by G_Money_Christmas (881 posts) - - Show Bio

All of them but Captain America is definitely at the top. Bucky is going to be so awesome!

#14 Posted by Pokeysteve (8080 posts) - - Show Bio

Captain America loos awesome but that Spider-Man trailer......

#15 Posted by Wolverine08 (38836 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm surprised at all the votes X-Men is getting.

This.

Each film seems to cater to a part of me

Guardians of the Galaxy will likely do a good job of introducing my favorite villain- Thanos

Spider-Man (Nuff Said)

Looking forward to the Plot-lines of X-Men...............

All we need now is an Elektra Movie- Rise of the Gorgon.

With @laflux as The Gorgon.

@lykopis as Elektra.

@god_spawn as Wolverine, and so on and so forth......

In order of anticipation:

  1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  2. Guardians of the Galaxy
  3. Amazing Spider-Man 2
  4. X-Men: Days of Future Past
  5. RoboCop

DoFP could go either way for me, in terms of quality. I could see it either being amazing, or a huge trainwreck.

#18 Posted by Cap10nate (2160 posts) - - Show Bio

1. Winter Soldier

2. GOTG

3. Spider-Man

4. X-men

Cap and Winter Soldier are two of my favorite characters and it is one of my favorite stories as well. I hope it carries a serious tone and not as slapstick as Thor 2 or IM3.

I am most intrigued by GOTG. I am excited to see how they bring the characters to the big screen and what direction they go with it.

I'll go see Spider-Man and X-men but don't really feel any anticipation towards them.

X-Men and Cap. DoFP just gets ahead because of it's huge cast and time travel!

#23 Posted by Overlander (431 posts) - - Show Bio

I can't decide on just one. With the exception of RoboCop, they all look to be excelsior!

#24 Edited by laflux (14257 posts) - - Show Bio

@wolverine08: I know, but God_Spawn is probably one of the few people here who are bigger fans of the Gorgon than I am. So he gets the nod.

Plus I get to beat the sh!t out of him

I'm most excited for Days of Future Past but Winter Soldier is a very close second. Glad to see they're tied for the lead. I'm actually really curious about Guardians of the Galaxy, all of the information so far has been so completely nuts that it could be great.

#26 Edited by Wolverine08 (38836 posts) - - Show Bio

@laflux: I'm cool with that. Should be awesome to see Spawn humbled by you :D

#27 Posted by k4tzm4n (36433 posts) - - Show Bio

I added RoboCop to get some variety in there, but maybe I shouldn't have. Oh well. Live and learn, yes?

Guardians of the Galaxy! I can't wait to see it.

#29 Posted by Owie (3621 posts) - - Show Bio

Guardians of the Galaxy, just because it should be so different from the others. But I am also looking forward to most of the rest of them.

As long as you keep Bullseye out of it, I'm down.

Guardians of the Galaxy because it's friggin James Gunn getting just enough money to play around with things.

Days of Future Past is not far behinde it. It'll be interesting to see how this film, clearly made up by FOX to try and get on the interconnected cross over bandwagon that is post-Avengers super hero cinema. Alsy BRian Singer is back directing and he normally has a solid hand an eye for things, Superman Returns is an interesting failure. Jack the Giant Slayer a utter failure.

Winter Soldier will be interesting just to see what the Russo Brothers can do and if they pull of the 70's spy/political thriller they claim to be making.

Amazing Spider-Man 2: The first one was a perfuctory bit of film that lived and died by Garfield and Stone's excellent chemistry. That first trailer hasn't really done anything for me to inspire more confidence. Like Days of Future Past it is clearly operating in the post-Avengers studio mindset of interconnected crossover multiple film story style. Not a terrible thing but All of the Marvel Phase 1 films and original X-Men films also worked on an indivdiual film basis which is the key that I doubt any of the people in power understand.

Robocop the original is one of my favorite films and one of the greats. This looks like it misses the point of the first film and has instead turned it into a bland paint by numbers action film.

#33 Posted by Backflip (2256 posts) - - Show Bio

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past
3. Amazing Spiderman 2
4. Guardian's of the Galaxy (This should be higher, but the post Credits in Thor put me off a little)
5. Robocop

#34 Edited by War Killer (19992 posts) - - Show Bio
  1. Captain America: TWS
  2. Amazing Spider-Man 2
  3. X-Men: DOFP
  4. GotG
#35 Posted by BigL (237 posts) - - Show Bio

1. X-Men

2. Guardians (that leaked trailer was incredible)

3. Spider-Man

4. Captain America

5. RoboCop

#3 & #4 I'm a little worry about. Both movies look good, but I do have my concerns. Spider-Man looks like a video game and I'm not sure how they're gonna handle Goblin (trailer makes it look like Harry takes over?). Captain America on the other hand looks silly and boring at times but Cap himself looks like a badass & Falcon too. RoboCop I don't really care for

#36 Posted by Mxyzptlk_CV (1115 posts) - - Show Bio

How can more people vote for Captain America instead of Guardians of the galaxy?...it's mind-boggling.......

#37 Posted by EvilPenguin543 (176 posts) - - Show Bio

All of them! But if I had to pick one, it would be DOFP.

#38 Posted by MadeinBangladesh (6117 posts) - - Show Bio

all of them except Robocop.

#39 Edited by yo_yo_fun (641 posts) - - Show Bio

From this list I'm excited for Captain America: Winter Solider.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a close second.

#40 Posted by TheCannon (17924 posts) - - Show Bio

Only ones I'm excited for are X-Men: Days of Future Past & Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Voted for DOFP, simply because I'm not sure if Cap will be good after IM3 & Thor 2.

#41 Posted by Oscars94 (2339 posts) - - Show Bio

Guardians of the Galaxy. The director described Ronan the Accuser as a psycho! PREPARE TO BE JUDGED!

#42 Posted by PeppeyHare (4310 posts) - - Show Bio

Cap

TASM2

GOTG

DOFP

#43 Posted by ccraft (5072 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm definitely going to see all of these comic book movies, the preview trailers for these films look great, so it's hard to say which one I'm most excited for.... But if I had to pick one I would have to say X-Men DOFP, the story is very intriguing! I'm also going to be watching the Godzilla and Robocop movies, very excited for these two! I usually go to the movies often, almost every Friday a new movie comes out that I'm interested in so I won't be just limited to CBM's.

#44 Posted by Fallschirmjager (15263 posts) - - Show Bio

Of this list?

  1. ASM2
  2. Captain America
  3. X-men
  4. GotG
  5. Robocop (looks like they missed the point tbh)
#45 Posted by BritishMonkey (321 posts) - - Show Bio

Guardians of the Galaxy!

#46 Posted by Lone_Wolf_and_Cub (4917 posts) - - Show Bio

All of them

#47 Posted by Xwraith (15494 posts) - - Show Bio

And someone actually voted for Robocop?

#48 Posted by mark15 (72 posts) - - Show Bio
