2014 is just about here, so we thought now would be the perfect time to reflect on this year's most epic events in comics. The Big Two both hit us with quite a few massive stories, but there was also plenty to enjoy with key characters and a couple other publishers, too. We've filled the poll with 13 memorable stories (plus an "other" option) from 2013 and now it's up to you to select your favorite one. After you vote, go ahead and tell us why the storyline earned your love and support. Voting is open for two days, so you have plenty of time to think it through before making your pick.

Will one of these big events earn your vote or did another win you over?

The poll will remain open until Thursday morning (ET). Once it's locked, a new article will go live with the results and more. If you want to go the extra mile, go ahead and get your elaboration on. What exactly is it about the plot that made you appreciate it so much? If your post is awesome enough and about the poll's winning option, we just may highlight it in the updated feature. Check the homepage Thursday to see the results and more!

In the meantime, hope you all have a happy New Year, Viners!

Valiant's Harbinger Wars was easily the best event of the year. It won't get past 10 votes, sadly.

City Fall gets my vote, it was truly epic.

Forever Evil

Would Valiant's Unity event/new title be eligible? If so that would definitely get my vote.

City Fall gets my vote, it was truly epic.

It's what Batman's Death of the Family SHOULD have been! The Villain wins, breaks up the family, and sends them packing. Art was awesome, Villain Micro Series Tie In's into the story were also top notch, from Old Hob all the way To Shredder. Hun relationship to another hero, Bebop And Rocksteady, Karai, Alopex... so many characters and somehow they all shined. This one took it for me.

DC's Villain Month is probably the one event I will always want to forget (and I'm a big fan of DC too).

City Fall is actually winning?

Going with Infinity since it's the only event out of the ones I read that has actually concluded and I have read all of it. For second and third I would say Forever evil and Cataclysm

I really like well done time-travel stories. 'Nuff said!

City Fall easily

#12 Posted by ShadowSwordmaster (8008 posts) - - Show Bio

I will go with Infinity.

Geez...this was tough. I like a lot of events this year, except for Age of Ultron.

But, ultimately it came down to two, Infinity and Harbinger Wars. I went with Infinity simply because I am more connected to those characters than the Valiant dudes. But Harbinger Wars is a damn good story.

Deadpool

#15 Posted by CheeseSticks (2261 posts) - - Show Bio

Age of Ultron, Battle of the Atom and Death of the Family should have no vote. These three events were a disgrace to the comics industry.

Man City Fall was fantastic and in second place which really makes me happy.

#17 Posted by YoungJustice (6366 posts) - - Show Bio

Whoever voted for Age of Ultron did it out of pity.

#18 Posted by Outside_85 (7074 posts) - - Show Bio

The 'Didn't Happen' Event.

#19 Posted by PeppeyHare (4310 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity

#20 Edited by Dark_Guyver (2057 posts) - - Show Bio

City Fall was the best storyline hands down!

Voted Deadpool The good, the bad, and the ugly, even though I don't think of it as an "event". If that's the case, I would have voted other for Thor: GoT Godbutcher/Godbomb.

1. Zero Year

2. Harbinger Wars

3. Death of the Family

#24 Edited by staypuffed (98 posts) - - Show Bio

Zero Year, although I did really like Battle of the Atom.

#25 Posted by Jphu8414 (1517 posts) - - Show Bio

Age of Ultron was awful, sorry but it was

Thank goodness Infinity came after-not surprised it is first

Infinity. Worst art should go to Forever Evil

#30 Edited by vandinejd_1991 (220 posts) - - Show Bio

I am picking Age of Ultron because it's actually the only event I've read this year. With the exception of all the time travel mumbo-jumbo and half of the story not involving battles with Ultron it was pretty good.

#31 Posted by GrenadeFlow (1077 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity then Cataclysm

#32 Posted by CheeseSticks (2261 posts) - - Show Bio
#33 Posted by comicgod (17 posts) - - Show Bio

I accidently clicked other I would really chose marvels infinity I thought this was referring to an event that happened ever in comics. my bad

#34 Posted by BubbaDuke (8 posts) - - Show Bio

I really didn't like the Wrath of The First Lantern story, but that last issue was one of my favorite issues of all time.

#35 Posted by MadeinBangladesh (4969 posts) - - Show Bio

CITY FALL!!! All the Marvel and DC events were disappointing.

#36 Posted by youknowwhattodo (467 posts) - - Show Bio

As lone as Age of Ultron doesn't win I'm fine.

#37 Posted by Fallschirmjager (11522 posts) - - Show Bio

@cheesesticks: unity might even be better. its been absolutely epic to start

City Fall is the only right answer but sadly, it won't win :(

Harbinger Wars. What other event had one character continue to fight after the skin of his face had been blown off? And he spewed nanites into his opponent's face during the fight! All captured by beautiful art!

#41 Posted by SavageDragon (2163 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity for sure.

#42 Posted by Oscars94 (2000 posts) - - Show Bio

@youngjustice: I'm so glad I didn't end up buying it. Where was Ultron? The last issue was just a conclusion to an Avengers comic that was made over a year previously. What a mess! I enjoyed Infinity though.

#43 Posted by arw1985 (37 posts) - - Show Bio

I was either going to pick City Fall or Zero Year. I went with City Fall because it was consistently good.

#44 Posted by Wolverine08 (26361 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity and City Fall.

#45 Edited by thespideyguy (2579 posts) - - Show Bio

So hard to choose. In the end I went with Infinity.

#46 Edited by timelord (449 posts) - - Show Bio

Forever: Evil has been fantastic I have been reading every tie in and really enjoying the sense of scale and total destruction the crime syndicate has unleashed.

#47 Posted by Life_Without_Progress (851 posts) - - Show Bio

@lone_wolf_and_cub: well, Finch's Gritty and Ugly art fitted the storyline considering the fact that it was about supervillains.

#48 Posted by clemj (817 posts) - - Show Bio

you should've put trinity war and forever evil in the same slot

#49 Posted by TheFirstLantern (1371 posts) - - Show Bio

I was torn between City Fall and Trinity War.I chose trinity war because it had me shouting on the bus twice, city fall once! I don't think Forever Evil should qualify yet, its barely halfway.

#50 Posted by EnigmaLantern (663 posts) - - Show Bio

Trinity War for me, simply because I don't count events such as Forever Evil and Zero Year due to still ongoing and I did actually enjoy the story thoroughly. I feel like I'm missing out with City Fall from what everyone seems to be saying.
