Comic Book Question of the Week: Favorite DC Villain

*Recommended listening while contemplating who you'll vote for*

Villains Month is officially over and this week we're treated to the second chapter of FOREVER EVIL by Geoff Johns, David Finch and Richard Friend. Now that we've all spent some extra time with the evil characters in the universe, we want to know who your favorite foe is. Would your answer be the same if this question was posed a month ago or has Villains Month changed how you feel about certain fiends? Has it made you like a character less or has it turned you into a fan of someone you never truly cared for? The DC universe is loaded with bad people, so we obviously couldn't fit them all on the poll. If your selection isn't there, go ahead and cast your vote for "other" and tell us who earned your support.

I really liked Scarecrow. The way he went to each check the other villains, his interactions...I was pleasantly surprised.

Pre- New52 I may have gone with Ra's al Ghul, but I like how the Rogues have been treated since the reboot.

I'm only saying The Joker because that the only villain I'm familiar with due to Batman comics. Everyone else, while being awesome at their own right, just doesn't grasp me that much the way the heroes do. Maybe if there were someone in the pre new 52...

I like where your head's at. I've always liked him because he's a different challenge than all the other DC villains. Even the Joker resorts to gunfights and fistfights inevitably.

used to be Deathstroke, Anarchy, and Catman. now... idk. Luthor. The new 52 has brought down quite a few characters imo

Pre 52 would be say Ra's al Ghul

Now I would say Deadshot. He was good before but now the New 52 in my option has made him just as good if not better.

P.S. The joker issue was awful... what were they thinking?

@mulder15: Joker was the best. That ended when DC made him into an unfunny creep that cut his face off.

Hell, the only DC villain that I think the DC's done any justice to recently is Darkseid.

@herokiller12344: Everything wrong with DoTF was fixed with Joker's villains month issue IMHO.

I voted for Deadshot. Not only is he a favorite villain of mine, he's one of my top ten favorite DC characters. The New 52 version seems to be a different Floyd Lawton altogether. But the Deadshot written by John Ostrander and Gail Simone is a complex and interesting fellow with a dubious set of ethics. Not quite a mercenary with a heart of gold but something close to it at times.

@k4tzm4n Man you been asking some good questions that are hard for me to choose one answer. Like favorite Spider-Man related book. That was a hard one & so is this one! I like to many DC villains it's hard to pick one!

Anywho, Articles like Comic book question of the Week and Best Battles are articles I look forward to during the week.

Darkseid, although I was tempted to vote for Killer Croc. Always liked that big scaly monstrosity despite DC jobbing him a lot.

Tough, DC has great villains...but I say Lex Luthor.

Too bad the Joker's issue during villains month was one of the worst.....

The winner of this poll gets to fight the winner of the "Best Marvel villain" poll, right? That's why I've voted for Lex Luthor (in his warsuit) because his battle with Doctor Doom would be epic. We all know Joker's going to win though. :(

Uhmm... Joker, I guess. And/or Luthor. I'm thinking of the New 52 Zod. Also, Hush -- but he doesn't exist any more in DC's New 52, does he?

Lex, Atrocitus, Relic and Two-face for me.

They are too many to vote for and I only like certain ones during certain times. Like how Luthor was cool back in the late 80s and early 90s as an evil businessman and now I don't care. Black Adam rocked when he fought with the JSA and tried to reform(ish) but I don't know anything about him now.

All in all, DC has better and more of a variety of super villains than Marvel.
