Big events have definitely been hit or miss over the years, but we're fortunate enough to have four with a whole lot of promise taking place right now. Marvel is keeping their big players busy, that's for sure. While the Avengers are handling dire cosmic matters that'll lead to "Inhuman," the X-Men are encountering their own set of massive problems with time travel. Meanwhile, DC is fully immersed in Villains Month, giving the bad dudes and dudettes time to shine and revealing who will stand with the Crime Syndicate and who will fight against them. Things aren't any brighter over in the TMNT world, either. Leonardo has seemingly become Shredder's right hand man and a massive gang war is about to break out in the Big Apple.

Four totally different stories, but which one are you digging the most and why?

Forever Evil!! But I'm a DC guy ahaha...

#3 Posted by Jasoninthewoods (110 posts) - - Show Bio

DC all the way.

Marvel is garbage.

#4 Posted by ColaNicole (586 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm going with Forever Evil. I'm DC all the way and the Crime Syndicate is a real treat. We've only had one issue and it already feels like a world plunged into darkness.

I'd love to vote Forever Evil, but my heart's not in it. Battle of the Atom is off to a great start so far.

Infinity so far. I don't understand why some hate on it. It's a great, colorful event that is caused and deals with many factors.

What tha hey is tmnt doing up there???

#8 Posted by McBig (84 posts) - - Show Bio

Honestly every one except Infinity.

It's a big event for the franchise, silly. If there were any big events going on within other publishers, I would have added them as well!

dont see how forever evil is winning since it has one issue but whatevs. on quality alone i vote for infinity but really wanted to vote for x-men but they just dont compare sadly

#11 Posted by kriminal (646 posts) - - Show Bio

i am getting all four of these

#12 Posted by SavageDragon (2252 posts) - - Show Bio

Its got to be Infinity, its so good so far with amazing art.

Hard to choose between Forever Evil and Battle of the Atom.

But I went with Aeternum Malus just because it has a more "event" feel than BotA. Hopefully BotA will begin to feel like more than just another story arc (not to say that it's been bad, just not "event" worthy)

Battle of the Atom for me. I'm trying to read Infinity, but after reading only the two Infinity issues it is absolutely incomprehensible and I'm not going to buy any of the periphery titles.

x-men x-men save the day save the day

My guess....people have been burned by too many lackluster to plain horrible Marvel events in the past. I think, therefore, it biases them against any future Marvel events.

@k4tzm4n: your right. I just hope their new movie is half as good as the original tmnt. I have that awesome movie and the sound track :)

#18 Posted by The Stegman (24324 posts) - - Show Bio

Forever Evil gets my vote.

Infinity is meh, though I'm not a big cosmic guy anyway.

I'm not completely caught up on TMNT so I can't vote that.

X-Men is...eh.

Tie between Forever Evil & Battle of the Atom. Not interested in Infinity. The last couple of BIG Marvel events have been letdowns for me. I do continue to do myself a disservice by not checking out TMNT.

*edit* I will try out Infinity, if only for Yu's art.

Hmm I don't care for Battle or the Atom or City Falls (sorry Gregg) but I am really enjoying Forever Evil and Infinity hmm tough decision.

#21 Posted by Cavemold (1682 posts) - - Show Bio

Retailers have been jocked around by this villains month and Forever Evil. This poll shows the fan bases true colors. Ridiculous.

#22 Edited by RageEx2 (111 posts) - - Show Bio

No idea why Forever Evil is winning by this much

#23 Edited by NathanXplosion (51 posts) - - Show Bio

The only event that I'm reading all the titles for is Battle for the Atom.

#24 Posted by IanPrime (27 posts) - - Show Bio

Forever Evil. City Fall is great but why is it even an option? It's just a story arc.

#25 Posted by TheManInTheShoe (3878 posts) - - Show Bio

@zeeguy91: True true. What I want is a year or two without a Marvel event. I mean from Age of Ultron to Infinity, Infinity to Inhumanity etc. It's too much

It's considered the "first big event" for the TMNT universe and all of the issues within the franchise are revolving around it.

Its a huge story line for the franchise, but I don't know that it qualifies as an event. What other titles will it effect besides its own and the micro-series? The others will have consequences for their respected universes and multiple titles.

Sure, it doesn't have the luxury of including mulitple titles, but just like you yourself have stated, it's something which is bringing consequences to its respective universe and every title possible is revolving around it. Additionally -- and more importantly -- it has been labeled a "seven-part event" numerous times.

Can somone explain to me how Forever evil and slap retailers in the face (villains MONTH) is the best event?

#31 Posted by deadshot1 (73 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity, not impressed with forever evil yet and Trinity war was meh

Tie between Forever Evil and Battle of the Atom. They just started so its too early to choose. This should been the question in later weeks to come.

Well, that's kind of the point when it comes to 3 out of the 4. It's to see which everyone believes has the most promise/potential and is enjoying the most thus far.

I think a more interesting question would be which event had the best build-up to release. For example Trinity War, (New) Avengers, and All New X-Men. It will probably be Forever Evil for me.

valiant's huge coming out!

Not going to bash either company, I love Marvel and DC. I haven't been reading anything by IDW, though I really should as I keep hearing good things. The only event I'm following of them is Forever Evil, but that is only one issue in. Battle of the Atom has me a bit interested, though I have stayed clear of Marvel events lately, too many of them.

I'm A Marvel Guy but I'm gonna have to say Forever Evil. It's Awesome !!! Battle Of The Atoms Okay, and Infinity Sucks, get Jonathan Hickman the hell away from the Avengers...

#39 Posted by broo1232 (1520 posts) - - Show Bio

Infinity

#40 Posted by blur1528 (1055 posts) - - Show Bio

City Fall. All day.

#41 Posted by sagejonathan (1953 posts) - - Show Bio

Unity. It's not even out yet, but it will be DA BEST.

Forever Evil. Can I just say that it really, really bothered me (in Battle of the Atom part one) that the All-New team and the Uncanny teams got along as well as they did. Granted maybe that's just because Storm and Logan weren't there (they're the two hotheads on Wolverine's side) but still. It bothered me a lot. But beyond that, Battle of the Atom would be my second pick. :D

You're the first person I've heard hating Hickman's Avengers. For me it's Infinity, I'm loving what Hickman's doing right now.

Tough question. Almost as tough as last weeks.

Evil.

I have to vote Battle of the Atom. I feel like something is actually going to happen rather than Forever Evil where Lex is going to stand against the CS till the real heroes came back and everything goes back how it was. I'm not reading TMNT but I'm intrigued by Leo going over to Shredder

#48 Edited by Blackdog2009 (1821 posts) - - Show Bio

FE

but now I'm curious about the TMNT event.

#49 Posted by Hawkguy (571 posts) - - Show Bio

I feel like Hickman is becoming the Morrison of Marvel. His stories can be so confusing at times, and like Morrison, unless you're reading every tie-in you miss out on bits and pieces that influence the main title(s).

As much as I love Hickman I hope he tames down the Avengers team and book in general with his next arc.

#50 Edited by Hawkguy (571 posts) - - Show Bio

Unity. It's not even out yet, but it will be DA BEST.

I don't think that's an event bro. From what I've read on the Valiant site it's going to be an ongoing series
