Who do you guys think has had better events in their universe. To me it seems Marvel when they go big they like to run them through almost a year and grow tiresome and stringed along too many books (exp. Fear Itself, Fearless, AvsX.). When they do small things they seem alittle better but don't leave too much of an impresion and are quickly forgotten unless they are centered around a core character(s). When DC does events they seem almost timed right and lengthen well. When they decide to go big its not too long and makes a more enjoyable impact (exp. Infinite Crisis, Identity Crisis, Flashpoint) DC also does the small, fun events pretty nicely as well. yours thoughts forum?
It would be quite easy to say DC; they're less frequent and more "ground-breaking". The results of the events generally last much longer, and effect more than those by Marvel. That said, I generally enjoy the Marvel ones more, bar a few obvious exceptions.
im relatively new to DC , with Marvel : secret wars, Acts of Vengeance,Acts of vengeance, AoA , HoM Civil war, Annihilation, Conquest, and the Thanos Imperative are some of my favorites it kind dipped after that. with DC i liked Identity Crisis , 52,blackest night ,brightest day, flashpoint,
I loved COIE, Our Worlds At War, Infinite Crisis, 52 and Blackest Night.
Even the ones I didn't like so much had something great to offer, like Final Crisis (Rogues' Revenge) and Flashpoint (Batman: Knight of Vengeance, Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown).
DC. Marvel Events feel like they should just be really important arcs rather than events. Plus they happen to damn often to be taken seriously "oh what is it this time only six months ago you were fighting each other. oh your fighting each other again?! That is just fantastic!"

Isn't Marvel having another event with the "total war" thing right after AVX? And DC is having the trinity war next year, I believe.
DC is on both sides. They are extreme to me. Either they are extremely well done and to the point (i.e. 52) or overlong and horrible (i.e. Brightest Day). Marvel on the other hand, are more frequent and consistent. Some are bad, but not overly (plot issues aside i.e. Secret Invasion). Some are done quite well (i.e. Civil War). I would say that Marvel has more of a "chain" event type philosophy while DC has more of a "shotgun" philosophy with the events. I prefer overall Marvel, but DC has also been good, in my, mind as well.
the only marvel events ive read are civil war and avx. both were pretty lackluster and dissapointing, especially the ending of civil war. the only dc events ive read are sinestro corps war, brightest day, blackest night, flashpoint. i think dc has better events but theyre not great. i prefer the mini events like court of owls, rot world, battle for the cowl. then.again theyre more crossovers....
DC. Just looking at all the little teasers they're planting for the Trinity War that as seen in almost all the comics just intrigues me. Combine that with the fact that they're less frequent and the fact that AvX is still leaving a fresh bad taste in my mouth.
