comic book advance technology - Gen. Discussion

i can accept that super heroes/villains and secretive nations can have technology well advanced of earth normal. not counting technology due to aliens and magitech, i have a hard time when their technology is extremely more advanced. Stark building Iron man is accetable, but some of the other stuff gets a little thin. how can there be a world where a small people have fantastical technology bordering on magic, that harnesses vast amounts of energy and computing power. yet for the 99% its technology as usual depending on date of publish. you think there would be some technology bleeding out of the world of secret organizations and superpowered people to the man on the street. A Stark Industries Arc Reactor powered car or something.

Yea actually everyday tech should be a bit more advanced.

But I guess that would make it to Sc-fi for the public to accept.

take Batman Beyond for example. the Batsuit is still cutting edge even though bruce made it decades before terry took up the mantle of the batman. now of course by the time terry is batman the gap in technology isn't as great as it used to be.

then as long as a person in the comic world is joe sixpack, his technology is fairly contemporary. the moment he becomes a costumed hero or villain, he now has a fusion powered battlesuit. the super advanced technology seems easy enough to come across but everyone seems oblivious too it.

you would think that when a named character is a titan of industry such as bruce wayne, lex luthor, karen starr, tony stark, victor von doom(thrown in for being a head of state). they would use their advanced tech to reap huge profits and/or further a goal of their secret life.

now one comic that actually avoids this some what is Watchmen. Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias have put their intellects and abilities forward to advance technology of common people. if you notice all the cars were electric and nightowl's airship wasn't much different from the civilian airships in the city.
