Deadline Reports His Contract is Done & Will Be In One Last Episode This Season:

If you saw Broken Arrow, then you know he just left the team.

The long-rumored shakeup in Team Arrow became a reality tonight when Arrow’s sidekick Roy Harper, aka Arsenal, left Starling City. The departure was prompted by the end of Colton Haynes’ contract on the show.

GUGGENHEIM: The third season finale is among our best episodes, with each twist more shocking and surprising than the next.

Agreed. This was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTING!!! Arrow is starting to make some real bad decisions now. The Roy/ Oliie relationship was the best thing and it wasn't cultivated enough. Roy idolized Ollie and was his mentor for life as well as crime fighting. The Oliie / Roy relationship should have approached that of father and son... Ollie didnt even seem to give a sh*t Roy was still alive. No embrace when Ollie found out Roy was still alive REALLY disappointed and disturbed me. Ollie really needs to drop this bad ass, dark knight attitude and act more like Oliver Queen from the comics, its killing the show IMHO.

I add it to the long list of things that Arrows season 3 did dissapoint with.

Yeah, I never really felt the Oliver/Roy relationship was given enough attention. Most of the time the writers just seemed to gloss over it, and we were never given any real moments of camaraderie or concern between them unless it had something to do with the plot -- like Oliver suddenly being up to his neck with stress when Roy was jailed despite barely addressing him in prior episodes. If the show had spent as much time on developing friendships and loyalty as much as they do recycling love triangles, we wouldn't even be having this conversation lol

Yep, i'm more disappointed that Thea gets the Lazaurus pits even though the showrunners heavily teased it for Oliver after the midseason finale

Nope, he would have already renewed his contract then. The showrunners just said he and they were open to him coming back, but not as a regular.

That sucks

It looks Arrow find ways to get their actors run away from the show.

Kinda sucks seeing that the character of Roy Harper is a pretty important and essential character to the Green Arrow mythos. I agree though. From the episodes I saw they screwed up the Ollie and Roy relationship. Maybe if they took a break from introducing a new hero every episode...

I really hope they deal with Barry and Wally better when Wally comes to The Flash.
