Inception. The Prestige and Interstellar also deserve an honorable mention.

Prestige for me. You got Batman Christian Bale and Wolverine Hugh Jackman at the top of their game in what is probably the best movie about magic. Can't go wrong with that.

I'll have to bookmark this and vote after I see Interstellar. If reviews live up to what I've heard, then this could be the film of the year.

I really like The Prestige. As good as Inception is (and it is very good), it felt a bit cold to me, whereas The Prestige really did a good job of making me care about the characters. Plus, David Bowie... :D

@transformers1024: Check out Snowpiercer if you haven't already. My favorite movie of the year so far.

The Dark Knight and Inception are Nolan's best films, IMHO.

@pinecone: I actually finally got around to watching that last night. I decided right when the credits were rolling that it instantly made my Top 10 all time favorites. Chris Evans is a surprisingly great actor and that one film alone proved to me that he can handle very emotionally scarred, character driven roles. I'll never get how he went to being Human Torch to Captain America... To what he can do in Snowpiercer.

@transformers1024: Keep spreading the love brother. Movies like Snowpiercer don't get accepted by the mainstream given the setting/direction/whatever so spreading the love is real important. That's how Nolan got to be mainstream.
Another random recommendation for ya: Beast of the Southern Wild best movie last year.

Chris Nolan is my favorite director, and I actually think his best movie is The Following, which I bet a lot of you haven't seen. That movie is the reason that Momento is so great. It's Chris's storytelling ability pushed to the max.

But I love all his movies. No low point in his career. Interstellar was fantastic. I'm also very big on the Prestige and Momento.

The Prestige for me. That is the one that stood out the most and was the most enjoyable.

I haven't watched Memento and Interstellar yet but I think that so far from the movies I've seen, Inception's the best. The movie has a great script, great actors and amazing effect on the viewer. It is easily a masterpiece at least in my opinion.

For me it's a tie between Prestige and Memento. I would vote Interstellar because it may be the most ambitious movie ever made and some scenes are unbelievably good but I still have some problems with it.

Prestige and Memento are nearly flawless movies to me.

1. Memento

2. The Prestige

3. Inception

4. Interstellar

All of these are better than TDK trilogy IMO. I haven't seen Following and Insomnia.
