Chris Hemsworth Cast in Ghostbusters Reboot

The man who most recently played Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron will be returning to the screen in a highly anticipated Ghostbusters reboot in 2016. Who will Chris Hemsworth be playing? The receptionist. According to a few sources, including The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth will be cast for the role that was originally played by Annie Potts in the 1984 film.

In addition, Paul Feig recently tweeted this out:

Hemsworth will join Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon who will play the Ghostbusters in the new film. The Ghostbusters reboot will hit theaters on July 22, 2016.

I guess an all female team means a male Janine. Wonder how active he'll be in the story, the guy's gotta be in demand right now.

Lol, this movie's making me laugh already! I really hope this turns out well. The writers need to actually care about this or else it'll come off as a lame knockoff.

I love the idea of getting an A-List action star to play the receptionist.

I don't know about Hemsworth as being cast in the role, not familar with his comedic work...but casting janine as a male is just awesome! The more I hear about this project the more i want to see it

I guess we'll be getting a Stay Puft Marshmellow Woman. I still think it's a mistake not setting in the original universe, it could've followed on from the idea of Ghostbuster franchises from the 2009 video game.

Probably because it's clear that this movie is going to be the reverse-gender universe while the male reboot will have people set back in the status quo.
