Coincidentally, I just watched Flashpoint. Wonder Woman's sword broke when she tried to stab Captain Marvel.

@sturdigun: She lassoed (Spelling?) him and made him say Shazam. Then she killed Billy.

I believe a sword should be able to cut when backed with enough strength but I doubt a writer would

So what would happen if the Flash, grabbed a sword, in with his speed, started slicing/stabbing captain marvel? would that hurt him?
And on another note, is captain Marvel truly invincible? If the Flash where to IMP him, would that kill him? or just knock him out for some time?

Thanks!

@sturdigun: He's definitely not invincible (World's Mightiest Mortal.) I think it just depends on the writer. His vulnerability is up to interpretation.

Like could the Flash kill him? How hard would that be? And could dead pool just cut his head off? I mean really, how hard is it to kill Captain Marvel?

@sturdigun: The Flash would beat him. I don't know about Deadpool. But I don't know enough about him to speculate.

What would happen if it was Nova and Captain Marvel where to become one person? and the flash and dead pool did the same thing? would flash/dead pool still win?

PS: thanks for the answers!

Not a regular sword. Doesn't matter how hard he's stabbed. The sword is softer than his skin and will break upon contact. Its like trying to damage a steel wall with a twig.

WW's sword in KC could cut Superman's flesh but that sword was magical.

Regular metal would bend like a noodle.

Fictional 'super' metals would have to be weilded by someone of comparable strength ( minimum Collosus or She-Hulk) to bypass his durability.

Magic would depend on the specific spell. Wonder Woman's sword, Excalibur, Sword of Omens, and the Ebon Blade would all react differently to him than to even Black Adam, who has the same powers,
