Captain Atom & Fury of Firestorm question.

I was looking at another comic book website and I noticed that for issues # 14 & 15 of Fury of Firestorm that Captain Atom was going to be in them. Is that where Captain Atom is now? I like Captain Atom but have never read FOF. Is it worth picking up these two issues? Will I be able to understand what's going on? Or should I just save my money?

New writer Dan Jurgens starts in Fury of Firestorm 13 and is still in the title up to 17.
