I reaaaally thought Billy would be the one who "crosses the line" and having Superman killing Doc Light was a pretty good twist. I know the stuff behind the war seems pretty rushed but come on who's not up for an all out DC Super teams war?

@v_scarlotte_rose: agreed, also, where's the JLD
@rufug: Agreed on the tarot cards? So you saw the mistakes too?
There wasn't really a lot of reason for them to show up in this issue. They'll turn up soon enough though.
@rufug: I mentioned this in another thread, so I'll copy and past what I said there:
Geoff Johns or Ivan Reis really doesn't seem to know much about Tarot. 26 major arcana cards were shown, when there is actually only 22 in a deck. And the names on the cards were:
The Boy
The Hero
The Warrior
The Hostage
The Politician
The Soldier
The Detective
The Alien
The Unknown
The Betrayer
The Prison
The Gameplayer
The Grid
The Freak
The Messenger
The King
The Magician
The Archer
The Thief
The Spirit
The Misfit
The Miracle Worker
The Savage
The Assassin
The Sacrifice
The Outsider
Out of all of them, I only recognise one as being an actual card, The Magician, and I can accept that The King could be an interpretation of The Emperor.
Maybe some of them are supposed to be interpretations of actual card names, but as they aren't numbered, it's impossible to know for sure which ones are supposed to be which.
This seems very much like someone who has heard of tarot cards, and likes their mystical sounding names, but hasn't bothered to research it, and has instead just made it up to suit the characters.
Which other death are you referring to? Madame Xanadu? I'm not sure if that definitely was a death, and it was right at the end, so there maybe just wasn't time to show their reaction.
Yes I was talking about that character and I simply noded at the use of tarot cards, using actual names of tarot would have been great but I'm thinking not all figures can be associated with the heroes they were linked to.

I feel they shouldn't have bothered putting them on cards because of this.
I loved the issue, though Superman just punching Shazam unprovoked was too much like Cyclops just blasting Cap at the beginning of AvX.
I loved it! I'm very excited to see what happens. I actually liked the cards burning at the end. I thought it was really powerful. I imagined it as the scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker kills Judge Surillo and the cards are burning/flying. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mK4EY6bKjU 1:55
Did they mention somewhere that those where tarot cards?
I don't think she used the word tarot herself, but she does use tarot cards, "tarot readings" is written on her window, and she was using them to predict the future. I'm pretty sure this means they were supposed to be tarot cards, but if anyone knows better, I'm quite willing to be proved wrong.
