It's a term used frequently on battle threads and I think defining it with on panel examples would serve to better communicate what one means when they say stomp. What notable "stomps" have you seen in comics that really deserve a label such as that?
Can we define "stomp"?
@The_Deathstroker: Thats not stomp, thats just annihilation. lol
@mr_clockwork91: Ah, yes. I should've known Aunt May was too powerful. My mistake.
@The_Deathstroker: I tremble at the thought of meeting Aunt May.
It's short for "curbstomp", and used too frequently and erroneously on this site. It means one character completely dominates another.
A battle in which there is nearly no doubt on the victor.

@pperspectiveandreality: My favorite stomp in a comic was Dormammu Vs Hulk. I'm not evenj a fan of either character but the dialogue and the fight was just an utter curbstomp lol:
Lol something about a good stomping just tickles me. I even enjoyed seeing Superman get a vicious backhand from Helspont
We know where we use it but who started using the word ''Stomp''? who was the user who first said it? i mean why not say ''In a punch'' or use the classic term easy''
American History X

@god_spawn: Did @g_man start saying stomp or who was it? you been along here for a long time.
@leonkarlen123: No.
@blade_r: Oooo. Blu-Ray. Pretty.
To me there is 3 different ways to say a battle isn't a good match. Worst being a mismatch.
- Stomp
- Curbstomp
- Mismatch
A stomp is like Spider-Man VS Punisher for example.
A curbstomp is like Thor VS Thing for example.
A mismatch is Odin VS Silver Surfer for example.
A stomp is where one person wins every time, with little effort. You can have a character win 10/10 fights and it's still not a stomp, the other side could still put up a good fight. When one party just so great breezes by the other though, that's when stompage enters the conversation.
Example Hulk vs Thing (Hulk stomps)
Captain America vs Batman (Cap. stomps..)
Spider-Man vs Wolverine (Spidey stomps..)
Goku vs Superman (Goku stomps..)

this is a jimmy rustling post if I ever saw one

Hahahaha
Derived from curbstomp, which is from the movie American History X where Edward Norton makes a dude bite down on a curb side, then stomps his head in.
