Can Thanos solo fiction by himself?

It appears that users here are either wanking THANOS of Marvel or he really is that capable.

Apparently any fictional character against Thanos means either Thanos stomps or "good fight". I have never heard of any battle thread where consensus is against Thanos.

Not having read much of THANOS in Marvel comics, I don't know yet. Can anyone share feats to argue for or against?

Let's face it, people have been crying and screaming that certain characters are so overrated when some characters like Doctor Doom and Thanos appear untouchable when they are the true overrated since no one questions them winning.

@guanofriend: doctor doom is far from untouchable and Thanos is extremely powerful so yeah. Just cause he's powerful doesn't mean he's overrated.

How many f*cking times on Comicvine are people going to pretend like there's some sort of Dr Doom bias,and usually it comes from people that swear that Batman is such an underrated,underrepresented victim of misrepresentation or something.

perhaps its because people are telling the truth? The majority are correct most of the times, but when the majority veers to a near unanimous consensus, its due time to examine the assumptions, and examine the possibility that Thanos and Doctor Doom are really overrated in some ways.

There are so many characters that could wreck Thanos in the existence of fiction that it's not even funny.

Thanos is a tricky character because he is a whole lot more powerful than characters he tend to interact with. Sure you wouldn't expect Thanos being able to defeat , or even match Galactus or anyone on the pedestal. From what I have seen Thanos if often pit against the likes of Superman specially in a team of 2 or 3. Given his track record against being of this kind it's not unfair for one to believe Thanos is capable of beating those combination.

Thanos is not u defeat able as never been but it's hard to find a good match against him as he hovers some here between 2 distinct hierarchy of power.

Nice list and I would agree for the majority of it but you said regular Thanos. In a straight up fight of course Thanos will lose to top-tier opponents. However, if Thanos has prep and researched on his opponent beforehand and retrieved the necessary artefacts to power up himself or weaken the opponent, he would win more often than not.

I'm pretty sure there are some characters created for role plays and fanfiction that would lolstomp Thanos with zero effort at any of his chosen fields of expertise without technically being omnipotent.

Don't you think it depends on whom they are fighting? That's what determines a "unanimous consensus",not being "overrated". It's sickening to hear people scream "overrated" just because they don't like the outcome.

Certain artifacts increase his power to a certain degree. The most notable of artifacts: Heart of the Universe > Infinity Gauntlet > Cosmic Cube. Let's say he were to use preparation time to get the strongest of the three, Heart of the Universe, he still couldn't solo all of fiction. Why? The One Above All, Pre-Recton Beyonder, Protégé, The Presence, Over Monitor, Man of Miracles, The Fulcrum, etc. would be more than sufficient enough to stop him. Not to mention all the gods that exist in historical/mythological texts, other fictional gods written in books and novels that equal HOTU Thanos's power such as Azathoth, ones in video games, animes, etc. etc. etc. Last but not least, Bugs Bunny would curbstomp Thanos regardless of prep and artifacts, but you said no toon-force, so I didn't mention him.

Considering one of the first people Thanos would beat is likely himself....

These battle forum whinge threads spilling over into gen discussion is starting to become annoying.

What does Batman have to do with anything? no one's mentioned Batman and Doom is overrated period far more than Batman. It's not even a contest,people here think Doom can beat God and get away with it, if Batman beats Punisher,Moon Knight or Shredder there are threads dedicated to Batwankery as a fallout.

My point was more towards people saying that Dr Doom is overrated. And I have hardly seen anyone say that Doom can beat God (I don't doubt it,though),but I have seen many people say that Batman can beat Thanos,The Living Tribunal,Galactus,and Unicron. Just because there are fanboys doesn't mean the character is widely overrated (or wanked) when the majority accurately represents their level. By the way,I have hardly seen much complaints towards any of those things that you have said. I mean,I know people say that Batman can beat Spider-man,Deathstroke,Black Panther,Cassandra Cain,etc and I haven't seen much complaints there either.

Plot powers up are the reason why Doom and Thanos are over wanked. People assume they have these on tap for prep when they will only have access to them by virtue of plot.

If you can pick up a cosmic cube from the local shop then you can get one during prep but if it requires you to take on cosmic entities or superhero teams then it falls outside of prep.

lol did someone ITT really say Batman with prep can beat Thanos? LMAO WOW. And for the record Dr DOOM has actually once got one up on God, he stole the Beyonders once,has everyone forgotten this?

He's not undefeatable, he's just a big tough guy.
