Can Superman see while using heat vision?

Stupid question, I know. I just started wondering, though, and want to know what others think.

He wouldn't have to aim much. Just look at his target and blast 'em. Course, then how would he know if he hit them?

@jobiwankenobi: he does have to aim, there were plenty of situations where superman is seen moving and shooting. Also, some of his more "precise" tasks with heat vision also prove he can see, like lobotomizing people, etc...

@Jorgevy: What I meant about aiming, is that it wouldn't be that hard. People have trouble aiming a gun because they can't see exactly what it's pointing at. Whereas he aims simply by looking at something. That's all I meant.

I figured he could see, because he's not exactly shooting lasers. He's heating everything in his scope of vision. He was also able to see in Final Crisis when he was using minor heat vision on Lois's heart to keep it beating.
