Can Spiderman beat Vermin

I'm confused because Vermin durability is susceptible to normal means of injury and yet it seems spiderman can't take him and he easily dispatches kraven (I know kraven beat him in night of the hunter,but this was months in planning to do this)

written correctly, Spider-Man should destroy Vermin every time they fight. But writers need the villain to fight the hero, sometimes the villain is written as weak, when the creators realize this before the big fight scene, they make a decision to keep deadline and write the battle. So they create some dumb plot where the villain is a lot more dangerous then they appear, even though the hero is actually stronger.
