Can someone help me identify the name of a comic?

I'm trying to figure out the name of a book that's something along the lines of...teenagers (I think) have the option to gain superpowers but the body views it as a disease and it ends up killing them within a short amount of time, something like a year or so...I overheard people talking about it at some point and would really love to read it...I think it's a few years older, prob not on going....thanks for your help!

For whatever it is worth, I'm pretty sure I heard that concept before. I can't tell you where it comes from or even what company.

@ghostmammoth:I think you are looking for Strikeforce: Morituri. It's the only comic book with a concept like that, that comes to mind right now.
