what is the infinite crises.

who is super-boy prime is he the superboy from teen titans

who is the anti monitor and what does he have to do with anything

is the infinite crises about to happen again in the new 52?

is the new 52 just a retelling of all the pre 52 storys/arc.

is the new 52 the first time DC has rebooted.

was pre new 52 really all on big continuity from the very first DC book.

was the pre 52 superman book all one big connected story and arc.

Why do they make the comics so damn hard to follow

In order of question...

A DC event

Super-Boy Prime is Clark Kent from an alternate universe, Earth-Prime, which is "our" universe. He comes to Earth-1 and eventually New Earth, but doesn't like how things turned out so he turns into a bad ass evil brat who FSU

The Anti-Monitor is basically an evil God from the Anti-Matter Universe. He is the ultimate evil within the DCU.

No it's not. That would be impossible.

Not at all. Though there are similar elements from Post-Crisis DCU brought over.

LOL not even close.

Pre-52, aka Post-Crisis Timeline, only had about 25 years of continuity but it heavily relied on Silver Age stuff to an extent.

No, no big 2 character is one big connected story and arc.

It's not that hard to follow.

Are you new to comics? I'm assuming you are.

Infinite Crisis is a graphic novel in DCU.

Not sure.

Anti-Monitor is a universal threat from a different universe that came to the DCU, where he caused a big ol' problem with different universes and mumbo jumbo. He's crazy powerful. He is the main reason for Crisis on Infinite Earths.

No.

No...

No...

No...

No...

Um, they're not.

Might be wrong on some, but... yeah.

@jayc1324: There is no "infinite crisis multiverse event."

There is a dumb MOBA game that shares the same name, and a tie-in comic. There's also Multiversity that's coming out. But that's it.

@jaken7: you know what I meant

Well, he specifically mentions the event as well as two key characters, SBP and AM, who were causes of the event, as well as pre-52 continuity. I think he meant the 2006 Infinite Crisis.

  1. Infinite Crisis is a 2005-2006 crossover event written by Geoff Johns. The story is told through an eponymous seven issue mini-series although tie-ins span the entire DC Universe.
  2. Superboy-Prime is from a parallel Earth called Earth-Prime that had no super-heroes. There, Superman and the other comic superheroes were fictional characters only seen in comic books. The Earth-Prime universe was erased during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. No
  3. Read Crisis On Infinite Earths
  4. No
  5. No
  6. Yes
  7. No

  9. You will get the hang of it. It is pretty confusing at first.

  1. Infinite Crisis is a DC event. After Crisis on Infinite Earths Superman(Earth2), Alexander Luthor(Earth3) and Superboy-Prime(EarthPrime) are in a pocket dimension looking onto current Earth all agreeing its an imperfect world. They openly agree that Earth 2 is a perfect Earth and wish to replace it(Superman mostly because he believes it would save his Earths Lois, who is in the pocket dimension). Alexander Luthor and Superboy-Prime have their own agendas on how the Earth should be.
  2. Superboy-Prime is a Clark Kent from Earth-Prime. He is the only super powered hero of his Earth and holds hostility to current Earths Superboy. Believing he isn't heroic(currently not helping with the OMAC's) and "living the life he deserves"
  3. The Anti-Moniter is a being from the beginning of time who was awaken by the a scientists on Pariah(similar to how a former Guardian of the Universe scientist became the Anti-Monitor in a previous reboot). His goal is to go back to the beginning of time to stop the birth of positive matter in the universe. He is the villain of Crisis on Infinite Earth's.
  4. No as its an event. But something similar could happen as there are different Earth's(universes) and the point of the Crisis's is to bring dimensions they like in other universes to the main Earth.
  5. No they are not. Somethings are similar but mostly retelling of origins from other universes to use in their main universe.
  6. No there has multiple reboots of the universe and characters
  7. I don't understand the question
  8. I don't understand the question
  9. DC makes it harder then it should be. They like time to pass. Use of parallel univeres. Telling stories of the distant and not so distant future. So they have to do something when they make something they want to put in the main universe. Not hard to follow but not really easy.

@king1_icon: The Anti-Monitor came back during Forever Evil. It was revealed he was responsible for the destruction of Earth-3.
