Cable and X-Force

I've been looking at some Cable comics recently since I want to explore him more as a character, so I naturally stumbled upon his NOW! series, but I'm not that familiar with the characters in the team. So is this series any good and reader friendly?

Cable's "I die every night. A dead man can't have friends." speech is right up there with 2099 Punisher's "I don't need a jetpack. All I need is hate."

At first I wasn't feeling this book but now, I like it. Enough to keep on my pull-list, for sure. Each character is given their due and that's important to me.
