Poll CA: Civil War Vs Batman V Superman: DOJ - Wich movie will be better? (150 votes)
Both movies will feature super-heroes smacking each other, but with different motivations.
Wich directors do you trust more?

Civil War.
I may be biased because Civil War was the first comic i've ever read, so it has a special place on my heart.
Batman vs Superman probably has the difficultly of higher expectations. Any Marvel film screw up is quickly forgiven. Any DC movie screw up and...well we are still seeing people make MOS threads. You get the picture. Perception wise from the general public, Civil War will probably be deemed to be the better film due to bias. But, we'll see. Maybe Synder pulls out something truly amazing.
I do expect both films to be good and to make lots of money though.
Based on Marvel's recent track record, BvS.
What the hell are you talking about ? Their recent track record are Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Age of Ultron, and these 3 movies are excellent.

Winter Soldier was excellent, I agree with that. Guardians was just okay to me, and Age of Ultron was terrible. Prior to this they had Thor the Dark World (which was awful) and Iron Man 3 (which is only good in comparison to other movies), so their track record recently hasn't been good at all.

I´ll have to disagree with you, Guardians was really good, and Age of Ultron was excellent, I agree that Thor The Dark World was bad but Iron Man 3 was ok.
Everyone at this point, comic book fans and ESPECIALLY general audience trust and like the MCU.
@thespoiler: Or you're lowballing.

I don't get it. Man of Steel wasn't well received but you think BVS will be the better movie based on Marvel's track record? What about DC's then?
Back to the topic
Anyways, It's hard to say right now, but when I see a trailer for civil war I will make a decision. Really excited to see Black Panther though. and I can't wait to see Batman vs Superman.
BvS; judging by MoS and the teaser trailer these DC films aspire to be more than just comic book movies in the same way the TDKT was
Civil War will probably be excellent, but it'll definitely just be a fun, turn of your brain CBM.
Who can say? We haven't seen anything of Civil War and it has this bloated cast to deal with which is usually not a good sign. On the other hand, DOJ looks to be as blanched and bleak as MOS, so as far as I am concerned, that's also cause for alarm. The truth is they could both be great and they could both be a bust. We'll see sometime next year.
Who knows? This just boils down to "Do you like Marvel or DC more?"
I'll enjoy both immensely, I can already tell you that.
But being a DC fan at heart, I'll prefer BvS.
Subjectively... I don't know. MCU films are either phenomenal or lackluster. Man of Steel was somewhere in between, but at least it was consistent. Could go either way as to which is the better film.
Again this?
^One of the trademark DC fan responses.
Among my favorites is "Marvel is for children. DC is for grown ups like me!"
Or Marvel fans articulate sentences "mos sucked and also because yeah and also..."
@wrglfan2814: lol.
Right now I'd say Civil War. Very excited for BvS, but I really love Evans' Cap and his journey so far, so I'm more eager to see how that continues or ends rather than an introduction/new story.

Idk.
BvS has high expectations that it won't live up to, at the very least I hope it's a good movie.
Civil War I think has a higher percentage of being a great comicbook film. I can't say the same of BvS, as there still a lot of unknown factors.
I'm not trying start an argument or anything, but what expectations? And why won't it live up to it?
Civil War's established cast gives it an edge, but that's not saying I'm not going to give the BvS crew a chance. Just more invested in CW's.
Won't lie though, not a fan of Eisenberg as Lex and Gal isn't as great an actress as people keep telling me to wait and see for (I will wait and see, but people keep telling me it's comparable to RDJ and Ledger - it's not. They had much more impressive work beforehand).
Civil war
BvS just sounds like a desperate cash grab even the name itself will it be entertaining? Yes, will i watch it? Yes, will it be a good movie? Highly doubt it
BvS, since it is the introduction to the Justice League. Once BvS is out, people will have a whole other option to watch besides a marvel movie. Plus this BvS has had 2 years to develop meaning a likely good movie, while Civil war barley has one year to make a good movie meaning it is rushed.
@ultrastarkiller: really hope they tone down the jokes
besides ultron being lackluster, the second worse thing was the endless jokes
@storm-is-life: it was blatantly made to compete with BvS. It had no setup in Age of Ultron and they literally can not adapt even half of the storyline from the comics. The premise of civil war literally makes no sense in the MCU.
Exactly so it's basically marvel trying to say "hey DC we can 1 up you guys".
@gjgp27: and... What's the setup for BvS, then again?
TDKR made sense because Clark and Bruce were friends, it had a proper context. In BvS, Superman saves the world(or at least a big chunk of it, they would have nuked Zod at some point) and Batman gets mad because Superman did it by killing him. Superman saved a lot o lives by stopping Zod, if anything, they should be friends.
Wow, great setup.
