JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #1 hits stores on June 17th featuring Bryan Hitch as the artist and writer for the book. To celebrate the new book, Bryan Hitch is doing 7 variant covers for the first issue, which is double-sized, which are all connecting showing one gigantic battle scene. There's also a seven-panel foldout variant cover as well.

Check out all the individual covers, featuring individual shots of Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Superman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman, which are a bit larger, and get ready for JLA's release on June 17th.

I don't like it either. And I don't understand why this book is a thing.

I am not a fan of Hitch's art, the pose Batman has in the cover is ridiculous

I'm really looking forward to this book. It's probably what I am most excited about coming in June. I've been waiting for a Justice League book that simply focuses on good stories. Not that I don't enjoy Geoff Johns' Justice League or even Hickman's Avengers, I love them both, but everything seems way too connected on them. This is something, at least from what we've seen so far, that I can just read whenever I feel like it, without having to go 40 chapters back. A truly awesome breeze of fresh air on DC's monthly lineup. Can't wait for the first issue.

@lxlgiftedlxl: Yes and no. After a series of events so interesting I won't spoil them for you, Stormwatch, for lack of a better word, evolved into the Authority.

Not a huge fan of the Supes, Aquaman, or Batman poses, but the rest look cool.

I dint like this because I'd rather a group of lesser known characters got a book to gain some popularity.

His work on The Ultimates seems better in my opinion. Doesn't seem like he put as much detail into this one, or maybe it's the ink

They really should have just expanded the roster in this book to also include Martian Manhunter.

Hm. This might scratch a bit of that classic "Ultimates" itch in a way that his "Real Heroes" never really could. Fun times.

Not to disrespect Mr. Hitch but could I respectfully request a trade for Gary Frank to illustrate a Justice League book? Also, is Jason Fabok no longer on a Justice League title? I love his stuff! (especially his Wonder Woman design).

Does anyone know where I can find interviews about this series, besides the IGN one? I just don't get what the point of this series is. According to the IGN interview, the JLA stories are not going to be related to the JL stories and are perhaps just JL adventures. But why introduce another Justice League ongoing? What's the purpose? Two JL stories each month, similar to what they did with Supes and Bats in the 80's to 90's?

I think I'll stick with the near masterful writing of Geoff Johns and the amazing artistry of Jason Fabok. Fabok's art is the reason I stuck with John Layman's so-so run on Detective Comics. For me this June, there is only one Justice League book. And it's got no "America" in the title!

So, judging from this, after all is said and done Superman appears to get his powers back, no?

Honestly, why do they bother screwing with a character just for the sake of screwing with it?

Annoying!!

Agreed. Not to mention Superman's personality makeover. At least, we get to see old Supes back and his powers. They'll have to explain how it happened.

These are...just...so bad... Plus from what we've been seeing, none of these costumes really fit with current continuity, right? Or maybe that's just part of DC's whole new approach to loose continuity. Because comic book fans don't care about that, right?
