Just speculation :
- 2015 is 30th anniversary of DC Multiverse story name Crisis on Infinite Earths. We heard in comic department Dan Didio tease about Crisis project while in animated department perhaps Bruce Timm will do multiverse related animated series/movies. Also notice in official press statement in upcoming JL Gods and Monster that it will be focus on ALTERNATE VERSION of DC Characters
