Boba Fett: Mandalorian or Not?

What I said before: "It's a well known controversy that Lucas decided "f*** it" they aren't Mandalorian, sh*tting on 30-40 years of EU backstory. This is the same guy that said "Darth Maul and Darth Talon knew eachother and are friends" even though Talon was born about 200 years after Maul. Nobody cares, they're still written as Mandalorian to this day, and even in Clone Wars it never stated they weren't. It's the race that is listed on official sources, and Filoni isn't making sense. He wanted the clones to be Mandalorians, but not Jango and Boba? What? The clones ARE Jango and Boba. Filoni and Lucas are the same guys that tried to put Darth Revan as a Sith Lord entity advising the Son, even though canonically Revan turned to the light side of the Force."

@mitrageist: Actually, as much as I can't stand Lucas in recent years, he donated every single penny of that $4,000,000,000 to charity.

Can't Lucas say or do whatever he wants with the characters?

Actually since he sold everything to disney Lucas has no authority at all. Disney's first move was to make EU canon, something that Lucas always hated or didn't care for.

Uhh....the EU always has been canon. Also Lucas has never hated the EU, he just didn't follow it, otherwise why would he incorporate EU things into his movies? IE: The name Coruscant, YT-2400s and Aalya Secura?

@wolfrazer: Doesn't follow it is correct. His own universe was too big for him. Look to my above post for his attempts at using Darth Talon and Revan.

He didn't care for it and I think he dismissed parts of it several times.
I really don't know to make it feel a whole? Because they are things that are objectively good, or to draw the fans of the EU, who knows. I vividly remember him dismiss anything after RoTJ in an interview.

@yodaprime: Yep they were the bad**** known as the Taung! Lesser species just adopted their culture. Taung are the true master mandalorian race! XD Kinda wish the Taung were still around though, they made Mandalorians being unique, now just everyone can strive to be one...which is fine but kinda takes away from uniqueness.
