Do you guys agree that if kid nowadays act likes Billy Batson in new 52 meanwhile kid from 1930's-1940's will act like Billy Batson from Whiz comics era ?
Billy Batson New 52 is perfect for 21st century kid
Before making any sort of comparisons it's important to note that Billy Batson in the new 52 is 15, as opposed to 10 which is how old he was prior to the reboot (in most stories). Those 5 years make a huge difference, one version is still in elementary school and the other is a freshman in high school.
To answer the question, no, I don't think that the new 52 Billy perfectly portrays the 15 year-olds of today, a great majority of adolescents aren't that bratty.
@youknowwhattodo: well Teenagers always has angst to them
@greatcaesarsghost: well this is 21st century. No teenagers act like 1930's boys Billy Batson Whiz comics
@greatcaesarsghost: well this is 21st century. No teenagers act like 1930's boys Billy Batson Whiz comics
I know, that was the point. He was a decent person in a world where decent people don't exist.
@greatcaesarsghost: well I think that is the point of DCU reboot new 52. Everything new and fresh. Don't get me wrong I love Billy Batson whiz comics but soon we will get "Crisis" 2015 where old continuity meet new continuity. Imagine if the new universe is same as old universe then not many exciting stuff happens. Besides for those who don't like old Billy can like New Billy and for those who don't like New Billy can like Old Billy. It gives variety of choice to readers to like which version they prefer
@boynerdgeek: Fair enough. I was of course, just giving my opinion on the subject. If Shazam sells well then all the power to its audience.
