Best zombies?

They don't have to technically be zombies, just similar. Things like Necromorphs and Half Life Headcrabs are fine.

I say it's a tie between WWZ zombies (from the movie) and Last of Us "zombies".

The WWZ zombies' ant-like behavior was very creative and unique. It really made them stand out from other zombies. I also find their weakness (I won't reveal it) very creative. They also (from what I saw) didn't have any injuries that a normal human couldn't survive, which made it more believable.

The infected from Last of Us are terrifying. Imagine being taken over by another creature and being forced to kill and eat other human beings, all the while being completely conscious and seeing every second of every kill. The idea isn't just creepy, it's creative, and I respect that the creators did their homework on actual body snatching fungi.

I like the generic Walking Dead zombie.

I liked WWZ's zombies in that if they would have used the zombies from the book then I'm not sure the movie would have worked quite as well as it did...I went in being a huge fan of Max Brooks' WWZ and Zombie Survival Guide thinking that with the film only really taking the name from the book that I was going to hate it and ended up loving it and believing that it's the best zombie movie that I've ever seen...if a zombie plague were to happen and they were like the zombies from the film then we would be absolutely boned

i liked how being a zombie in the WWZ movie gave people superpowers. like superspeed, super jumping abilities.

The Infected from 28 Days Later. They were just so...angry.

they were fairly smart and were light sensitive plus the source material clearly calls them vampires...they aren't vampires in the classic sense but then again neither are the "vampires" in Twilight

Sounds like it was just a name they gave them due to their similar nature, but they don't follow the vampire myth nor do they follow the zombie myth. I'd say its a mix between both.

the original book had very different creatures though....they retained their human intellect and had a weakness to sunlight, crosses, and garlic...Neville goes around during the day killing them by driving stakes in their hearts while they sleep

On the DirecTV info thingy,when it was last on,the description was something along the lines of "A Lone Survivor trapped in the city with lurking vampires trys to find a cure and save mankind"

They were also Vampires in the book,also one of them showed compassion. Something no zombie movie has ever done (except that recent zombie movie where its pretty much twilight with zombies)
