Well, I really like collecting the back issues (I am trying to find some cheap Inhuman volume 2 issues w/ Jae Lee) but it seems to me on amazon it is easier to just buy the TPB. So my question is which TBP is your all time fav? I will use this as recommendations. They can be volumes of an ongoing or elseworld stories.

I already have: Blackest Night, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume 1(still getting the other volumes by IDW), Death of Superman, and Kingdom Come. I also just got the first issue of Infinity Gauntlet.

X-O Manowar Volume 1+

Bloodshot Volume 1+

Shadowman Volume 1+

Archer and Armstrong Volume 1+

Basically anything and everything Valiant. They're doing far better than the big two.

Also, The Strange Talent of Luther Strode

I personally read Deadpool by Daniel Way, have Volumes 1-3 so far

I'd collect Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool (Marvel NOW) when they come out in trade.

Wont list all my favorites as there are far too many. Though a few which stand out are Punk Rock Jesus ( Murphys art is fantastic anyway but I love his work in black and white in particular), Watchmen, American Vampire Vol 1-3 (so far), Batman The Black Mirror and Halycon.

The best trade paperback I own is Final Crisis. Now baring in mind this is TPB, not "story", but rather what comes together to make the book worth getting.

Reasons;

  • Excellent, imaginative and unique story. Greatest event of all time by miles, and will likely never be matched.
  • Great value (it's like $20)
  • Includes all necessary issues, coming out to 10 issues (with some double-sized)
  • Quality paper
