Who's the best sword fighter in DC,Marvel,DH,Image?
Best sword fighter
Forever says:
"Zealot's impressive but do you think she could take Fandral?"
Yes I do. I believe her style is more elusive and cunning but then again all I know about Fandral is that he's from Asgard.
I don't know anything about Zealot, but Fandral can lift 35tons is immune to conventional injury (it would take a major dispersion of his body molecules to kill him) and has been sword fighting for thousands of years. I think he has probably seen just about every style of sword play in the know universe. Even among the Asgardians, who as you know love battle, he is considered to be the best sword fighter.
Zealot is also thousands of years and also has healing, magic, blah blah blah. Fandral just looks gumpy, it looks like he uses a broadsword which Zealot would easily dodge.

Well it's clear he could take her but the question is can he do it simply with skill and experience, without relying on his strength and invulnerability?

I'm not sure? I have really never seen her and don't know anything about her.
Valkaad says:
"Where is Zealot from? I have really never heard of her."
Wildstorm.
@ Forever, why would he be able to take her?
Gambler says:
"@ Forever, why would he be able to take her?"
I think he might have a little edge in experience (not enough to make a huge difference), I dont think she is any quicker than he is, I think the difference in fighting ability is negligible (partially because of his invulnerability), but I think he has a decided strength and invulnerability advantage which would put him over the top in a fight.

She also has immortality but I must admit I don't know alot about her, Buckshot would be better at this.
Buckshot says:
"I could tell you about her, but I don't know jack about the other guy."
Well he has a virtually unbreakable sword and he can press 35 tons so I was invisioning her thinking she could block his attack and being surprised with a broken sword and a cleaved skull. But let me know if she has an unbreakable sword as well.

Not sure. Originally I was thinking someone like Mace Windu who not only has skills, but also an awesome weapon and super human (with the Force) physical abilities. Then I was thinking that might not be fair to those who are incredibly skilled but their weapon is normal or they're just human, plus there are a lot of swords better than a lightsaber. Mace would still be up there if it was just skill, but I'm not sure. Taskmaster could be the best if it were just skill, but only when fighting others, and not on his own. People who are ridiculously old warriors would be good candidates (Ares, the guy you were saying, Zealot, etc) because they have the experience and centuries or millennia of training, but a lot of times you don't see it, you just hear that "so and so is has mastered whatever" or "this guys is the best fighter/swordsman". I don't know so let me just rep Mace.
Sling Shot says:
"Midnighter."
If you're going to be a smartass, at least pick something reasonable. Would have been better to say Mr. Majestic. Not only do I like him more, but he's actually a skilled fighter and swordsman, the greatest warlord on his planet, and has millennia of experience.

Part of her training is for her to fight alongside people like Mr. Majestic (and against them sometimes) so I don't think the 35 tons strength thing in and of itself is too much, though the invulnerability might be. They have swords with blade forged in suns that can cut beings as durable as Majestic and others people like Warblade that can make their bodies as sharp or as hard as they want so I think her sword could cut him and wouldn't break against his weapon. They've also got others that can cut anything (they're made out of pieces of some ridiculous universe-ending weapon) so that can work too, but it's not standard gear.

I see what youre saying, but I dont know how much of his strength Majestic is using when they train against each other. Its like when Superman is pummeling Batman or Hulk is pounding on Spider-Man. That's nowhere near their full strength.
But if her blade can cut Majestic than it can certainly cut Fandral and from what you've said it would at least hold up quite a while against his sword. Freaking Wild Storm characters. I'll call it a draw but it may be tipping in her favor now.
Gambler says:
"I wanna change mine to Mace also."
I would too, but are we judging them on swordsmanship with their own weapons, with a standard generic sword or what? With a lightsaber, Mace is a monster but that's not even close to the same balance as a normal sword.

She doesn't train with him, but the knowledge that they may have to fight against someone of his strength is there, and when they train, it's not half-assed (they cut each other up and kill each other and stuff like that), so I think they'd be prepared to fight someone in the 35 ton range. They actually use their training too. Members of the Coda (women like Zealot) and the Adrastea (others sort of like Zealot) have fought real fights against Majestic and others in the Pantheon (men like Majestic) before so they however they practice has to be at least somewhat useful in the "real world". (And before you ask, the ones that tried to fight Majestic died.) Don't hate on my Wildstorm characters.

You can't fault anyone for dying fighting Majestic. I accede the victory to the overpowered Wildstorm character. I really have to get back into Wildstorm. I read it when they first started it up but havent seen enough of it since then.
