Hopefully I am right with this one. lol (Sorry for my grammar as English is not my native language.)

Anyway, I was wondering who the best superhero(ine) from your country was. This especially applies to those not from America, as most superheroes are from there.

Also, not to create any confusion, what I mean by the question is the Superhero whose nationality is from your country.

(i.e. Sunfire - Japanese, Captain America - American, etc)

This isn't limited to Marvel or DC though, any local comic publisher is fine. If you could, please also describe the said superhero. Thanks! I am just curious!

@sundeep: Indonesia. There's Komodo from Marvel and Cascade from DC but neither of them are good. They're just typical superhumans.

For me it would probably be between Johnny Alpha and Marvelman (Miracleman) I think.

Runners up would be Captain Britain, V from V for Vendetta (if he counts), John Constantine (if he counts), Meggan, Luther Arkwright, Etrigan the Demon, Jack Staff, Cat Girl, Steel Claw, Pete Wisdom, Robot Archie, Knight & Squire, and Durham Red :)

Isn't there supposed to be an decent-sized Indonesian comic book studio, Skylar Comics? Anyone from them?

Mega-City One is in the US (the thread is concerning character nationality not country of origin)

It'd be cool if it was just country of origin, but I think a lot of countries don't have much of a Comic book industry.

He may have been cloned in the post-apocalyptic US megalopolis Mega-City One, but Judge “I Am the Law” Dredd is as British as they come. Created for 2000 AD as a satire of brutal policing, today his adventures seem more like a fly-on-the-wall documentary. In contrast to Marvel’s the Punisher, who is a vigilante, Dredd has the full weight of the law behind his role as judge, jury, and executioner.

Yup, he was cloned in the United States, which makes him an American character created by Brits in a British comic.

Otherwise I would've put him down myself :)

In Czech Republic, we have only one "superhero" that I know of.

No Caption Provided

Pérák, an urban legend in Prague during WWII. He was said to be a man with springs on his feet/boots who could jump over whole streets and fought Nazis and Nazi collaborants.

We might not have comic book superheroes, but I think that having one as a traditional urban legend is much cooler-some people actually believed that he really exists!

Why didn't you? he is a British comic book character published by Rebellion Developments. (Which by the way, is based in Oxford, England).

I'll say the Doctor (not biologically, yeah, but we've basically adopted him) with Sherlock Holmes and John Constantine coming in behind. None of which are your traditional superhero.

Not sure if he's technically Indian (but then, neither am I, and I'm only half-Indian by ethnicity), but this guy looks like he'll be fun...
