Avengers. From a story point of view, it was spot on with how a comic would be. The characters were not altered in background or abilities. The Dark Knight Rises was more well directed, but the story was absolute garbage. Bruce Wayne and Batman DO NOT QUIT, Batman does not struggle with Bane 1v1, Batman would never put Alfred through such a thing at the end of the movie and then show up at his vacation spot smiling like a jerk while Alfred recovers from a damn Heart Attack. I can go onward about story design with the Nolan movies, but I am not sure the page will let me type that much.
Dredd was awesome, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't nearly as good as the Avengers. Spiderman wasn't sure if it wanted to be serious, or lighthearted. I thought it was poorly directed and we don't need another origin story on Peter Parker. Also, the choice of the Lizard as the main villain was so poor. Of all the awesome villains to pick from, thats who they chose...
Avengers was so sloppy and the dialogue was a tad sloppy.
Dredd has my vote, with a close second for ASM, which is highly underrated because Raimi fans wouldn't give it a chance.
Why did i vote for ASM. I clicked it, then remembered the terrible line at the end.
"Those are the best ones."
So i gvie it to Dredd, which i didn't even see.
Its not that I didn't like the avengers but TDKR was definitely a new and different take then what we've seen in the comics so I have to give it to there script on this
I really liked Whedon's dialogue in The Avengers. I thought it was well plotted. The biggest knock against it were the generic villains. Avengers gets my vote.
@DarkKnightDetective: That's moronic. There's no comparison.
People that voted the Dark Knight Rises obviously have somehow forgotten all about Bane's terrible dialogue, made infinitely worse by Hardy's stupid, cringe-worthy, ridiculous, dumb, over the top, rubbish voice.
@LordRequiem: This is script. Bane's voice has nothing to do with that, and please do tell me why you feel the need to attack TDKR? Do you think that I voted for it?

1. The voice has nothing to do with a script.
2. Bane's dialogue is the best we've ever gotten in a Batman movie, EVER!
3. I'm sick of people complaining about Bane's voice. Maybe if you actually paid attention to the film, you wouldn't of had a problem understanding him.

I don't know that I'd call Avengers sloppy. Under-scripted for sure. I feel like there was a lot of Downey Jr. wanting improvise all of the movie like he does. It makes for some fun exchanges between characters, but doesn't make the movie feel especially cohesive overall. So sloppy is kind of fitting I suppose... eh, whatever.
I'm with you on Dredd. It was tightly paced and all of the characters felt very real, as did the world that they inhibited. I liked The Dark Knight Rises (I actually think Bane was written rather well, regardless of whether or not you liked the performance) but the Talia plot twist, along with her unexplained motivations (or at least motivations that didn't make a ton of sense to me) at the end made it fall off of the list for me.
I think I'm going to go for dredd here, it was bot complex and simplistic at the same time. Avengers flowed fine and had a lot of fun moments, but it's not that complex, which isn't bad just not best script worthy. Amazing Spider-Man had awful dialogue between gwen and peter, I get it he's awkward, LET HIM FINISH A GODDAMN SENTENCE, NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT!!! The Dark Knight Rises started off fine, but dragged in the second act, then completely fell apart in the third (Which completely discredits bane actions up to this point, gives both villains really lame death, ends with bruce wayne given up being batman, and less we forget ROBIN BLAKE, way to appeal to the lowest common denominator by giving us a guy named Robin, not an actual one, cause you know who could tell the difference really, thanks Chris). I haven't seen the other 2.
Dredd
Avengers purely for the quips and digs they had at each other throughout the movie.
@DarkKnightDetective:
Uh huh, because this storyline WASN'T already done in the Ultimate universe.
Oh yeah, like TDKR ending was any better.
Dredd. A tight story that didn't fell the need to place the hero in a "save the whole world" scenario. What a breath of fresh air.
Dredd's story felt just like one of the mini stories from his comics. It was perfect. Not the 'over the top save the world' cliche crap.
Although Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, ans Amazing Spider-Man were all good my vote goes to Dredd, as I think the script was near perfect

While I liked The Avengers more, The Dark Knight Rises.
And who the heck voted for The Amazing Spider-Man. That movie was total sh*t.
I enjoyed it. Voted for TDKR though.
What a concise and worthwhile criticism. You should be a professional film critic.TDKR had a terrible script. Blake randomly figuring out he was Batman? That's stupid as fuck.
The Dark Knight Rises easily should take this. As someone above posted The Avengers is tiresome and used.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 1. The Rises script has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.
Nolan tried different approach to direct the film... it's very original and he had somehow insert another personality into Bruce Wayne, made him a man who does the right thing at the right time. TDKR is the best original script IMO..Not the best Movie though.
