I began really loving comics as a kid with Claremont's classic X-Men runs, so I guess that deserves an honorable mention.

The Claremont / Miller Wolverine mini got me hooked and made me a big fan of Wolverine as a young tyke as well.

Also loved the Savage Sword of Conan magazine runs back in the day (talking the black and white magazine runs ... damn they were good back then).
